Thanks for the warm welcome
I'm not much of a manga reader, but some of my favorite anime include Death Note, Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, higurashi no naku koro ni, Excel Saga, Lucky Star, Full Metal Alchemist, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Azumanga Daioh. In no particular order other than Death Note and Code Geass being my two favorite.

I also have an xbox 360 and my favorite games for that include Halo, Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead, FFXIII, and Assassin's Creed II.

So do you have any plans on accomplishing that, like a premise or Storyboard or genre it should fall under?

I just mainly have ideas right now. I would like to have Christian characters that aren't the stereotypical priest or nun that you get with any story be it movie, game, whatever.
One thing i would like to do is to make popular games that aren't labeled 'Christian' because then groups of people won't play it just for that fact alone. I want to have possibly hidden themes of Christianity sprinkled throughout the game.
Another thought I've had is to make M rated games that take you through the bible stories that aren't the 'Sunday school version' i.e. David cutting off Goliath's head with his sword during the cinimatic after the battle.

I think that one is a bit over the top but I liked the other ones!

The logic behind doing that one would be to show people that the bible isn't just filled with rainbows and love.
A thought i just had, a Samson hack and slash game :p
. . . maybe not

Hello, welcome to CAA!
Do you read any novels?
Or web comics?

YES! please do that!

You might find it easier to find material for an RTS game, because I remember that History channel got like four hours out of just the more interesting/significant battles, I think they called it "Bible Battles" if you want to look it up.
Just my two cents.

Novels, My favorite are the Chronicles of Narnia and The Neverending Story
Web comics.. I've only ever followed one and that was 8 bit theater.

Sounds interesting, but I still have another couple years in college, once i'm in the industry i'll be looking more seriously at doing this... Although now that i think about it i could start working on something as a side project... but it will still be a couple semesters until i know how to build a game from the ground up.

I've been reading some 8-bit..it's okay but I prefer Tales of the Questor, Girl Genius, and Schlock Mercenary

I understand why it was that but It wasn't all Fights and blood/gore. Look at the New testament for example there's not a huge amount of fighting, I mean there are LOTS of wars I know but you do have to consider the new testament as well

I love 8 bit theater because i love the original Final Fantasy, its still my favorite FF. Of course that's probably the only reason i followed it, and now that it ended, i don't really think i'll get back into web comics.

True, but the purpose of these games would be to draw in the crowd that likes games like Gears of War, God of War, etc. And destroy the happy lovey dovey reputation of the Bible that instantly turns these people away.

If you liked Death Note and you don't mind reading manga, I'd recommend Eternal Sabbath! Of course, some violence, but lots of fun mind games.
Welcome to CAA~
