At least to some of you. It's not really afternoon everywhere I realize.
ANYHOW!
Just wanted to properly introduce myself.
I'm Julianne H.
I'm from Massachusetts, USA.
I am a Christian aka, follower of Jesus and growing in the knowledge of what it means to really live fully for Him.
I've liked anime since I was 14, I'm now 22.
I've had my breaks from it here and there, due to problems with idolizing it at times and becoming obsessed. [just like anything, really] Also the fact that my dad has never really been a fan of it. My mom didn't really mind all that much, in fact she kind of liked some of it. Anyhow. That's why I had a break from it, then I slowly started watching it again when I was about 17.
I don't like ALL anime, because, like anything. Some of it may be good, but I also believe a good portion of it isn't good also.
Which shouldn't be surprising since the majority of the population of Japan are not Christian or have little to no knowledge of Jesus and who He even is.
Because of that amongst other things, I am greatly interested in learning as much as I can of Japanese culture, so I can better understand them, so that me and my soon-to-be husband can go out there and share the word of Truth with them. So my purpose for watching anime as two motives.
Decent entertainment and delight of the Japanese art, and also education of learning how the Japanese think and feel overall about spirituality and life, as well as customs. And the language, of course.
So there you have it.
I'm happy to meet you all.
