peace to everyone reading and to those that are not. my name is XIV_whisper the newest member on CAA...for now. i was looing for a christian anime and i stumbled upon this website. and am i gladd i found it. this website is a good place for christians to kick back and chill. about me, well i'm a pastor's son of a church called "the people's worship centre" all the way in barbados. i love GOD, basketball, friends, gameage (playing games for those who don't understand), and relaxing. why is watching anime not there, because when i introduces it to my parents the animes i chose weren't the best, so they didn't let. but i am slowly winning them over to allow me and this website was a big help. thank you and i hope to be able to chat to all who post on this thread.

YO! lolz. Barbados? That's AWESOME! It's on my list of 'places I absolutely have to- must- one day visit'! What's it like there? Can you compare it to America, or have you lived there your whole life?
Any favorite anime?
Are there any anime that your parents enjoy, or just like, that you showed them?

yep all the way in barbados. i love it here and when you come here you will love it too. the scenery is cool, massive tourist attraction. compared to america, we have less stores, and they aren't really as big as the one's in america. (what part of america are you by the way?), but compared with the scenery, the beaches, the historical spots...WE'RE MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!!!! also we have these companies that can take you all around barbados to see them, it's awesome. no i have not been in barbados all my life i have been to america, it's cool don't get me wrong, but it can't top barbados...to me.
i can't really say which anime is my favourite since i can't watch any right now(see story in first post), but i would have to say ONE PIECE!!!!!!
and my parents don't watch anime, they prefer stuff like CSI:miami.

yes Alcuinus, it's as in 14. it supposed to be 14th Whisper, but the roman numerals are much cooler, don't you think so?
by the way if anyone has any questions, about barbados, me or randomness feel free to ask

To avoid double (or more) posting, you can always edit your last post if you feel you have forgotten to say something ^^
I'm so behind on Naruto and One Piece
Bebop is a good one as well ^^ Which ones did you win your parents over with ^^?

i didn't win my parents over yet, but i plan to show my mom the dub version of one piece. she saw some stuff from the subbed version by accident. and if you know any that can help me, lie some nice ones with little or no violence that would be a big help.
thankxXD

Well, there's the Aria series- I have a review for it written up here if you'd like to see what it's about:
http://www.christiananime.net/reviews_anime.php?display=299
Kaleido Star is also a lot of fun, while The Girl Who leapt Through Time and Summer Wars are a little more mature but still keep the violence low-key.
Then there's also Ghibli movies, depending on how your parents feel about mythology/magical girl, ones like Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, The Cat Returns, Porco Rosso. You'd have to be the judge on whether they'd care for shows like that, though.
Or since they like detective shows, you could show them Detective Conan... which we don't have a review for here, but this site does (warning, one minor swear):
http://www.themanime.org/viewreview.php?id=704 And I have seen a decent amount of Detective Conan, so if you'd like more information about the content, I can answer.
