T-Twila, here! (Don't click if it'll be a pestilence! >///<)

(I can't believe I said I'd go through with this...I'm so bad at these... T~T; )

Um, s-so! I'm Twila, seventeen years old and falling out of a hectic series of confusing relationships with friends over MSN for about a year...It ended up affecting how I acted offline a bit, and my mother noticed and talked with me about it while we were out alone. After talking to her and concluding it in my heart, I decided that those friends of mine had problems that were too big for me to handle, and I hope to God that they can be saved someday.

So for the past few days I've been fighting withdrawal symptoms like loneliness and a hard-pressed shyness offline that I was only able to think had faded while I was chatting so much online. Then I finally tried putting "Christian" and "anime" into Google, and found this place. In my eyes, it's a miracle, because I didn't know you could put those words into a sentence without it losing all logical meaning. Fighting through to Mith to register (thanks!), I'm here now. ^^

When I was thirteen/fourteen my parents moved from Methodist to Southern Baptist denominations, and I think my youth group pastor has influenced me a lot lately in trying to come closer to God. I really hope to make some godly friends here, but I (and I could be wrong, so if my assumptions are off I apologize) think I'm making one or two already... ^^~

You're all really nice, it seems, I keep telling myself that. Ah, right, my likes are waiting until the clock hits 5:45-ish and running outside to sit on my mailbox and watch the sunset...My favorite spot in the world is riding in the back of a school bus or van or even a passenger seat in a car and listening to the music on my iPod while life's scenery zooms by my window. I love music, anime, and I'm trying to write a story or three.

Personality-wise I think I have a (bad?) habit of trying to invoke sympathy by acting kind of innocent, sophisticated, and cutesy...I seem to do it often, and I don't know how to respond to that side of me. My school grades are high and all, I make a good showing on ACT and such things...But that just influences me to believe it really doesn't make a person "smart" just because you do well in school. ^^;;

Also, I tend to go on for a lot, and I try to reign myself in by not saying much at all. >x<;;

I'm very happy (and able, because this is easier for me) to answer any questions strangers might have about me! I-I'm glad to have found CAA and met you all, p-please take good care of me!

/ducks head rapidly in multiple bowing motions >///<;;

Welcome, welcome! A warm, Christian welcome to you, Twila! Enjoy yourself here, and thank you for contributing to the community! I am quite confident that you'll make a bunch of friends fairly quickly.

I see you like anime and music. I'm havin' that! =) What are some of your favorite anime, types of music and musical artists?

Y-Yes! Rather than look through here, because it'd take a bit of time, I think my favorites I tend to think back on change a bit, but Higurashi's second season where the plot becomes more intense and determined as well as Toshokan Sensou are high on my top favorites. I don't really read manga too often, except when a good Touhou Project doujinshi comes up that's okay for me to read (there's so much Touhou stuff out there that's put me to shame in the past, so this doesn't happen for me too often)...Oh! I was into Pandora Hearts, too. That was a very good manga, and the anime adaptation had an elegant style...But again I ramble. ^^;;

Nice to meet you, Goldenspines!

Nice to met you. (You already Pm'd me about Touhou before I knew you so I know we'll be friends)

If you don't already know this place usally has good touhou doujins. (I just found it and I can't access most of the later downloads, so cannot tell if they're all good.)

I hope you have a nice time here and God bless.

@ TheSubtleDoctor: Thank you very much, it feels very warm indeed. My music is mostly of Japanese origin (exceptions being my parents' classic rock, disco, and country as well as some Christian rock, but I'm trying to find better bands) along the line of Touhou Project music arranges (Sakabato, Kisida Brigade) and then there's j-rock (I wish I could find more bands besides AKFG, Sambomaster, etc.), j-pop (UVERworld, Albatrosicks), j-techno (EXIT TRANCE~), so on, so on! ^^~

@ Sparkx00: Ah, the chat is my end-goal! 20 posts, right? I hope I can come into there, soon! I like chatrooms a lot, although I tend to lurk, I love them when friends are around to listen to. /munches on your cookie thankfully~

@ ⑨: You too~! I've read Inaba of Moon & Earth, but that's only got one issue left I heard...But that aside, I only go there for English patches, I'll have to look into it more~! Glad to know Touhou has a presence here~! ^-^

@ Tsukuyomi-san: Thanks so much for welcoming me earlier, Ella-chan and Mith as well! I get the feeling it won't be hard for me to have a fun time here... ^^;

Oh, Higurashi worried me for a good part of the first season...I had a lot of nightmares...That ended up being writing material. Funny how that works. X3
But the second season really moved me as it went on, Rika's on my #1 character spot on MAL for good reason I believe. ^^~

Thank you, and God bless you all!!

@ TGJesusFreak: I'll try my best~! (Although again, it's you all that make it so very easy to smile when I think about CAA after only being here a day. ^^; )

@ Mith: N-Nuthouse?! But I only buy those cheap 50-cent packages at gas stations...I don't know if I've ever been to a nuthouse before [s]unless I think about school too hard[/s].... o.o;;

Um, but thanks for helping me register, too! ^^

@ Ella-chan: Y-You do? Th-Thank you for welcoming me! T-T;;

@ ArellaEliora: I am, too, so thank you~!

@ Adie: Baccano! Yes! I absolutely love it for how it's written, with the characters, anachronologic plot arrangement, and multiple points of view~! X3

Also, Kimi ni Todoke vs. Spice and Wolf is a fight I could never decide who would win. I adore both of them. Makes me hopeful, y'know? ^-^

@ RustyClaymore: So nanoka...I wonder if that's true? Maybe I can thank my English analysis teachers for, M'Dover, M'Harry, so on...But I'm nothing to be jealous of. ^^;

Ah, someone to chat with would be lovely though, I'd love to sometime!
Although I still need to figure out what to do to add people...

Thank you all so much for your kindness! ^//^;;

I noticed you put Rika as your favorite, but Bernkastel is your Avatar... While the characters are related, they're not the same person, and while I'd classify
Rika as a heroine, Bern would be a villainess from what I've seen so far... As that was all based on the "question" arcs of Umineko, that could change, I suppose.
Anyhow, welcome. I found CAA the same way... back in 2003. I was big on TechTV's anime forums, and got tired of how much everyone on there would attack Christianity, so I looked up "Christian anime" on google.

@ Bobtheduck:
I'd agree that it seems that way, so far. However, looking at Dawn of the Golden Witch's ???? spoiler thread...I'm curious, because of a curious connection between Bern and someone else that seems very familiar.
Yes, I forgot to mention that I'm an avid fan of Umineko no Naku Koro ni. I watched the anime's first episode back when it began to air in '09, and after reading a review thread saying how much better the VN was I tracked down Witch Hunt's patched demo version--immediately after I read it I bought the $32 Alliance of the Golden Witch. I'm definitely hooked, for multiple reasons. ^^~

Oh, and I simply believe that while Rika has much better characterization (so far) than Bern does, Bernkastel's vibes and appearance appeal so much more to me. I'm very attracted to the blue and purple that she seems to emanate... X3

@ rocklobster: /tackled. I can't help it, though... x///x;;

I see you're a fellow Touhou fan. Congratulations on your fine taste! We need as many people in this niche as we can get. XD You wouldn't happen to have heard of IOSYS by any chance, would you?

That just made my day~, thank you~ X3

And as far as IOSYS goes, sure I have. ^^
Although I keep looking around for the latest albums from their spin-off J-pop group Albatrosicks. A few IOSYS members attached bits to change their names (miko_resurrection, Dr. ARM, quim_underconstruction I think) and have a whole space liberators theme to their characters, it's really cool~

Thanks for greeting me, again!

Yep, same here. :D I also loved the music. *starts humming the opening*

I haven't watched Spice and Wolf yet, but seeing you compare it to Kimi ni Todoke makes me more curious about it. :P

Mm, well, Spice and Wolf adds a bit of supernatural flair to it, but I just like romance that's portrayed the way both anime do a great job of. ^^~
