Terrible at introductions but here goes.

I'm male, 19 and Christian.

Rather than give a whole bunch of useless information I'll let anyone who cares to ask questions, that way you get to know what you care to know.

Any place where a new member should start? Some many boards and topics, whats active and enjoyable?

Welcome to the CAA! :D And now for some questions.

What's your favourite anime?

What's your -second- favourite anime?

How long have you been a Christian?

Ever been abducted by aliens?

What's your greatest ambition in life?

What's the best the thing you've watched recently?

And if you had a duck, what would you call it?

Oh! And when just starting off, it's always fun joining in with one of the goof off threads :D

Thanks for replying so quickly ^^

Ok, answering questions is easy, I can reply to conversation but I can't start it.

1. Favourite anime
Astroboy, a lot of people don't look past the surface but Astroboy has depth, I could go on for a long time why I like it but I won't subject anyone to that.

2. Second Favourite anime
Bleach, mainstream and everyone knows it. I find it interesting and not too annoying like some of the other mainstream shows... like one we all know about an orange jumpsuited ninja.

3. How long have you been a Christian
I never grew up with any religious influences at but luckily for me I was introduced to the idea about 2 years ago. It's been quite a journey but I finally commited myself to God about 6 weeks ago. No going back... but why would I want to.

4. Abducted by aliens?
Luckily no, I've heard the storys and seen it on tv, and its never a nice experience.

5. Greatest Ambition
To be with God, although as far as ambition on earth, I figure to have a nice family.

6. Best thing I've watched recently?
Dead Like me, its a tv show but not an anime. I haven't watched any new anime for a while so I can't really say one.

7. Ducks name?
Donald, I am terrible with names and highly unoriginal.

Goof off threads are always good. I'll take a look.

Hi and welcome! RandomBurrito's the name and I am not edible so please do not try to eat me. I would start off with the goof off thread. You can make plenty of friends and plenty of laughs there.

How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of the tootsie roll pop?

I've been asking that question and no one knows.

Thanks you two :)

1. I feel that a woodchuck would chuck as much wood as it pleased

2.How many licks? Over 9000? Next person to have one should count how many it takes so this nagging question can be answered once and for all.

*Makes a note to self not to try and eat the members who sound like food. Also notes he is the only member on the forum without an avatar.*

WHAT, 9000?!

...sorry I couldn't resist. Anyway, another great place to start and get to know people is the chat. Just go in there, jump into some conversations and in time you will be known. Now for some questions

1. How did you find this site?

2. What is your favorite Band(s)/Musical Artist?

3. What is your favorite type of Music?

4. Who is your favorite Author?

5. Any hobbies?

I thing you have enough questions to keep you busy for awhile! I'll just say Hi and Welcome!

by Toby T
Thanks for the welcomes :) Ok onto the next set of questions.

1. How did you find the site?
Google, I figured I had nothing to lose by typing Christianity and Anime into google at the same time, and it was a nice suprise that I ended up here.

3. Favourite type of music?
Firstly I'll say that everything someone my age is supposed to like I dislike. Music has gone downhill recently. I like a few songs that come from the years before the mid 90's and maybe just a couple from more recent years. As far a genre goes, either Jpop or game... the two most nerdy genres out there. Jpop is catchy and I just have to watch a new anime to find a new song, and game music is acutally trying to convey an idea, unlike most of the garbage I hear if I turn on MTV.

2. Favourite band(s)/musical artist(s)?
I'm going to be really boring and say I don't really have a favourite, there are a lot of good bands and artists out there but I don't really follow any of them, nor do I own any cds.

4. Favourite Author?
Wow I haven't done any real reading in a long time, I guess I'll have to say J.K Rowling because Harry Potter was the last whole series I read, and that was a few years ago. I also like the author Matthew Reilly, he writes action books that I found were very good.

5. Hobbies?
Playing videogames, since I finished school last year any of the few things I might have done are now too hard to bother with. I did play soccer for a long time but I'm no longer interested in playing on a team. Now I just work but thats not really a hobby.

1.2 Favourite Bible Verse
John 3:16-3:17
and
Romans 4:25
Very simple verses, but simple annd easy to understand, no way to be confused when you keep it simple.

2.2 Favourite video games?
Too many. I'll keep it simple and say The Legend Of Zelda Series, the early 2d Sonic games and more recently Kingdom Hearts and Persona 4. I have played plenty of games so if its the topic of conversation I'll likely whats going on.

2.3 Favourite American Cartoons?
I like a few although there are plenty of really bad ones out there. My favourite 2 would have to be Avatar the Last Airbender and Danny Phantom.

That's all, a lot of questions, not that thats a bad thing.

.... <---- Pascal is ebil.

How would you respond if someone complimented you with the phrase:
"You smell nice today."

Have you ever considered studying quantum theory?

What is The Good?

If you suddenly woke up one day to find yourself as a random anime character "supposedly" destined to save the world. How would you emotionally deal with it?

An army of robots is coming to your town in their march to take over the world for Dr. Steel. You cannot defeat them as even approaching them will get you struck by a mind control device that will make you a slave of Dr. Steel for the rest of your unnatural days.

WHERE WOULD YOU HIDE?!

Thanks for the um... enthusiastic welcome Derek  I feel very well received.

And thank you too Pascal
Ok more questions

1. How would you respond if someone complimented you with the phrase:
"You smell nice today."

"Um..... thank you I guess"
Sadly/Luckily no one has said this so I have no idea what I would really say.

2. Have you ever considered studying quantum theory?
No, I'd rather stick to basics... which I would have trouble understanding anyway, I have no idea what I would use the knowledge for and thus have had no desire to learn quantum theory.

3. What is The Good?
The Good is God :)

4. If you suddenly woke up one day to find yourself as a random anime character "supposedly" destined to save the world. How would you emotionally deal with it?
A tough one, freak out at first and then try to be the character so none of the other characters knew anything was wrong... then I'd slowly solve the mystery of the anime before the final episode to discover why I was acutally in it.

5. An army of robots is coming to your town in their march to take over the world for Dr. Steel. You cannot defeat them as even approaching them will get you struck by a mind control device that will make you a slave of Dr. Steel for the rest of your unnatural days.
WHERE WOULD YOU HIDE?!

Outside any major population centers, hopefully in the most remote place I can get to and live in without dying, then hope for the best. (same as zombie plan *cough* )

Heya. Forum's resident mythic beast here. Nice to see ya! About that anime plan... Read this, and you're totally safe. But read this more.

Hrm... Darn I'm bad at questions. Ah!

What would you do if you walked into your bathroom and found Darth Vader using your toilet?

How 'bout Batman?

Or Light?

You got a box of stuff to protect you from alien invasions, werewolf/vampire uprisings, Ninja attacks, zombie apocalypses and all of the above put together?

You don't happen to be a knight do you? <.< (I usually end up having to roast knights. They like slaying me.)

Ah, thank you.

(Sends intel to Dr. Steel... )

by Toby T
I spent too long yesterday reading the anime plans, so I didn't have time to reply.
Totally worth it, but moving on.

Questions
Honestly I think my reaction would be about the same.... freak out... and then just panic and think of what to say when they came out.
Why any of them would be in my home to begin with would likely be my first question. At least I know they all speak English.

No, I don't have an emergency box. I have more important things to do with my time than to put together a zombie/apocalypse box. I figure it would do more harm than good because either you get killed/eaten/blow up trying to get to the box, or you have prepared for the wrong apocalypse and you are lacking silver bullets... or other critical item.

Hopefully the information isn't abused *looks at Pascal*

Thanks for the welcomes :) Its good to know I'm not the only new person

The question
1. How do I feel about the new Astroboy film
Excited and also worried. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it and I hope that they don't mess it up, but I'm getting my hopes up for it.
I am glad to see they have brought back his machine guns, I think they'll have fun with that idea.

Hey TobyT! Can't really "welcome" you to the site since I'm a newer member than you are, but I figured it'd be good to get around and meet a few folks. Musically you sound like my type of man. Jpop and VG are the best things since sliced bread!

Best Regards,

We can be new together then. Its not so bad when your not the only new people. If we were in a school or workplace we could eat lunch together and not sit all alone.

Hope to see you out in the forum somewhere :)
