1. Hmm. Guess it would have to be playing with my cousin Karla. She and I were such good friends. In fact, we still get along pretty well! Yay for longtime friendships!
2. The first time I saw Fantasia I got pretty scared at the Night on Bald Mountain sequence. But now, it's my favorite part, next to the fairies.
3. Dancing like Pee Wee Herman. Don't ask.
4. Spaceballs, a Mel Brooks spoof of Star Wars. This movie will always make me laugh, especially the part where Helmet realizes his "schwartz" is as big as Lone Star's.
5. Graduating from High school and college.
6. I'm very easy to make laugh. I'm actually still ticklish. Oops! Shouldn't say that. Heck even Alf gets chuckles after all these years.
7. Anything by C.S. Lewis. That guy is amazing. I also like Animorphs, Asimov Tolkien, Mark Twain, and Dickens. I'll read just about anything actually.
8. Star Wars, Star Trek, The Neverending Story (only the first one. The rest sucked), The PRincess Bride, Superman I and II, Indiana Jones, the entire Back to the Future Series. (actually anything with John Williams doing the music always rocks.)
9. The B-52's inspired my username. It's one of their most iconic songs. I'm also a huge fan of Christian Rock. DC Talk, Casting Crowns, and Chris Tomlin are among my favorites. I listen to pretty much anything, except Country. Yuck!
10. yellow. It's the color of the sun and I just love it.
11. Chicken. Especially fried. I also like Pizza and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.
12. Hmm. I guess my strangest quirk is the fact that I have the hardest time making eye contact. Chalk it up to my Asperger's syndrome. I hear it's common in autistic people, and Asperger's is a mild form of that.
13. As I stated in #12, I have Asperger's Syndrome. It's taken some time, but now I think it's a blessing in disguise. I actually spent some time in special ed classes, and that gave me a great understanding of kids with "special needs"

Hmm...interesting..and for the record, Back to the Future was not composed by Williams but the the AMAZING Alan Silvestri!!!!! Why do no one know about him?!? He also did both Night at the Museum movies, Forrest Gump, and Polar Express.....sorry bout that....*silents rant*

1. Who were some of your first friends here?
2. What are your dreams and aspirations?
3. What made you become a Christian?

Are you afraid of elevators?

Do you like Elvis Presley?

Would you dance in front of a bunch of people.

Do you like lolly pops?

Have you ever poured hot tea on someone?

Do you like climbing trees?

Have you ever fallen off a roof?

How old were you when you lost your first tooth?

Pancakes, waffles, or French toast
Peter Gabriel or Phil Collins?
What is your favorite CD?

Soran's questions:
1. Who were some of your first friends here? Tsukyomi, USSRGirl, Mangafanatic, Jaden Mental, Yahshua, and Nate.
2. What are your dreams and aspirations? I wish to become a writer.
3. What made you become a Christian? I'm what you call a "cradle Catholic". However, what made me more serious in my commitment came about because I dreamed I was present at Christ's birth. I even got to hold the baby Jesus Himself. I cried because I didn't think I was worthy. I'm just a lowly sinner. Then my guardian angel said, "That's the whole point." I never tire of telling this story. I've become a more spiritual person ever since.
And yes, I know Silvestri did those movies. Sorry, that was a slight typo.
Gelka's questions:
Are you afraid of elevators? no

Do you like Elvis Presley? some of his songs are okay.

Would you dance in front of a bunch of people. only at a function where it's permitted.

Do you like lolly pops? yes, especially the tootsie pops.

Have you ever poured hot tea on someone? no

Do you like climbing trees? none of the trees in my lawn can be climbed, unfortunately.

Have you ever fallen off a roof? I came close once. I think my angel saved me from that.

How old were you when you lost your first tooth? so young I don't even remember it. I was probably 3.

KW's questions:
if the moon were made of spare ribs, would you eat it? No, I like the moon too much.
Pancakes, waffles, or French toast? Waffles
Peter Gabriel or Phil Collins? Peter Gabriel; but only because the guy has weird videoes. I like Phil Collins too, actually.
What is your favorite CD? any B-52's CD. They inspired my username. But I think their best work was Whammy, which is quite underappreciated.
Makachop's questions:
1. Whats your favorite anime?
I have too many. But if I had to narrow it down to three, it'd be Tenchi Universe, anything by Studio Ghibli, and Cowboy Bebop.
2.Whats your favorite manga? I don't read much manga. It's hard to keep up. But of the ones I have read, I like Please Save My Earth best.
3.When did you become a christian? Read Soran's questions.
4.Favorite animal? Dogs and dolphins
5. One place in the whole world you want to travel to? Japan

What's you dragons name in your avatar?

And where is Planet Claire?

PostPosted: Tue Jun 30, 2009 2:44 pm
by rocklobster
The dragon is Figment, a Disney character from Epcot Center's Imagination Pavillion. Sadly, the character has been discontinued:waah!:. I always identify my avatars in the text below them. I'm not surprised few people don't know him. Really, you'd only know him if you went to Disney World before 1989.
As for Planet Claire, it only exists in the imagination of the B-52's, my favorite rock band of all time and the inspiration for my username. "Planet Claire" is actually the first song on their first album. It's a typical song by the band, with weird lyrics about a planet that has pink air and red trees. "No one ever dies there/No one has a head."
Seriously, were those people on drugs?

What is the stupidest thing you have ever said in front of somebody?
I've said stupid stuff so much I've lost track

Have you ever tripped up on stage?
No. Never acted at all.

First love?
I had a girlfriend in high school. She got treated badly by someone else and it never worked out.

First pet?
A Besingi. I don't remember it because dad sold it when I was probably 4. The first pet I remember completely was my dog Bandit. We got along for most of his life, until he reached old age and became senile. I still miss him.:waah!:

First broken bone?
I've come close, but never broken anything.

Have you ever hit someone out of frustration?
Yes, I won't say who.

Are you a fan of the Big-Mac?
Never been that hungry.

Would you ever participate in a tea party?
If I were ever in England, probably.

Lilac: nope. Only child.

Dude! Why does everyone assume that "tea party" refers to crumpets and tea?
Pay attention to your government....

1. What names do you like (boys and girls)?

2. Favorite number?

3. Favorite musical?

4. Favorite unsung hero?

5. What stereotype were you in high school?

6. Favorite candy?

7. What are three bad habits you possess?

1. I've always thought some good boy names were Kevin, Michael, John, Joseph, and Damien. As for girls, that'd be Joanne, Karen, Lucy, Arianna (I have a cousin with this name who is very pretty), and Rachel.
2. Don't have one.
3. Fantasia, Grease, Cats, and Rocky Horror rank among my favorite musicals. Yes, I know Rocky Horror is awful, but come on, it had Meatloaf! And that negates any awfulness IMO.
4. St. Maximillian Kolbe. He died in a Nazi concentration camp by taking someone else's place.
5. I was the "kid with special needs".
6. Snickers and Zero.
7a. Walking on eggshells.
7b. I have a short temper.
7c. Jumping to conclusions too easily.

1. Playing piano and writing stories. In fact, I'm turning The Dragon Children into an actual book!
2. I have no phobias.
3. Well, I haven't actually seen spiritual stuff. But I have felt the presence of my guardian angel, as you know. And I have been attacked by demons in nightmares twice.
4. I LOVE Mythology. I'm especially fond of Greek mythology.
5. "If you want to know the truth, you must have the courage to accept it."--said by Bear in .hack//sign.
6. Mel Brooks movies, the Peanuts comic strips, and cute animals like puppies and dolphins.
7. Not at all.

1. Spaceballs
2. maybe. Tell you what, I'm posting the stories on my blog (you'll find the link to it on my profile). All comments will be greatly appreciated. And I'm dedicating the book to my parents and all the lovely people at CAA. (Including you of course:hug:) As for other help, I'm not sure. I read somewhere that I might not get much say as to cover art (you have to be an established writer to pick an artist, I'm told), so we'll have to see. And I'll let the pros edit my work. They know what they're doing.
3. Cookie dough
4. No one I've actually met has influenced me. But my biggest influences are C.S. Lewis and Hans Christian Andersen. I love the Christian symbolism in their stories.

Yeah, but I don't think you get to select your own editor. Am I right?
1. Just because I'm a guy doesn't mean I don't appreciate flowers. I like sunflowers and angel trumpets.
2. Let's see. All-time favorites are Star Trek (original and Next Generation) and Twilight Zone. As for current, I watch Mythbusters, wrestling (a guilty pleasure. Please don't let it make you think any less of me:forehead:), Heroes, and Lost.
3. I'll have to google that name. Sorry, not familiar with it.

1. The persistence of memory. You know, the one with all those melting clocks.
2. no
3 and 4. Yes. Mary Cassat did a painting of a mother giving her child a bath by dipping the child's feet in water. The image is so quaint and simplistic. I'm a real emotional type, and I think motherhood is the most honorable profession. Sure, it doesn't give you any money, but nothing beats the love a mother and her child share.:red:
5. Actually, I prefer A Midsummer Night's Dream and Hamlet over Macbeth.
6. No
7. No, but we have a bust of the Virgin Mary holding him as an infant. As you know, I have a special devotion to Mary. I think she is a very compelling woman. I mean, what made God decide she was the one who was supposed to be Jesus's mother? And why did she agree to it? I always wonder just how much she knew about what was going to happen.
8. Never gave it much thought. Math has never been my strong suit.

Hmm...interesting.

1. What are some of your favorite lines of Shakespeare?
2. Did you know that ants in Dali's work symbolize death?
3. Can you recite the Villian speech?
4. What is the craziest dare you have ever done?
