Hey, I'm David. I'm gonna hang out here while Anime Angels gets their issue fixed. Thought I'd just introduce myself, especially if it becomes permanent (hope not).
Anyway, I dabble in anime/manga [Yotsuba&!, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (manga), and FMA are my favorites], but I'm a gamer at heart, mostly retro stuff; I think the SNES/16-bit era was the golden age of gaming, and Final Fantasy 6, Axelay (betcha you haven't heard of that one; look it up!), the first Sonic games and Chrono Trigger prove it. This extends to the GBA, on which I like Fire Emblem, and on top of those, I also enjoy a good game of Star Control 2, Civilization 4, Total War, and Burnout Paradise.
I also know how to play keyboard; mostly video game music, not surprisingly, but sometimes I do second keyboard for my church. I'm also a writer/artist in training. And I like semicolons/grammar, if you can't tell already (Eats, Shoots and Leaves FTW). And Mortal Engines, because cities on wheels that eat each other is cool. Aaaand... Ecclesiastes and Micah are my favorite books of the Bible.
...Micah; not many people really pay attention to it, besides that one verse that song's based on (Micah 6:8) which is pretty good, but there's all kinds of cool stuff in there like that.
Anyway, rant over; I'm here. Feel free to send a PM if you're another lost AA member, or if you just want to talk.

Hey there and a very warm welcome to you, Davidizer. I hope you enjoy it here. ^_^
Ah, grammar is something to be cherished, indeed. Many people will be happy with your interest in it. XD

Nope, I'm not nearly good enoughfor OCRemix or Dwelling of Duels. I just play songs that I like, with not a whole lot of arrangement or remixing, just a keyboard and me, banging out a song on it, experimenting with the chords and stuff, usually adding a jazz/swing element to it.

Hey, just a word of warning: Once you're past a certain point, say, after the first couple books (in the Viz Selects printing), it gets messy. Keep that in mind if you haven't gotten there yet. But other than that, it's a great manga.

Hey! I'll consider it. I've got some ideas for my own roleplays, too, and who knows? Maybe one'll show up here soon.

It was good talking to you the other day in chat. Since you are a fan of kind of obscure older games, I'll ask you this: have you ever played X (Ekkusu) for the Gameboy? It was a Japanese only release. Since you mentioned a game I had never heard of, I looked it up. I'm interested in getting it. I'll have to let you know if I do and what I think about it. Anyways, hope you stick around here for a while!

I heard about it from its appearance in SSBB, in sticker and song form (one of the best songs in the game, too), and it sounds pretty interesting.
For those who don't know, X was a 3-D Game Boy game, made by Argonaut (which went on to make Star Fox) and contains the first appearance of (Kazumi) Totaka's Song, which Totaka (better known as his alter ego, K. K., from Animal Crossing) hides in a lot of the games he's done the music for. If I felt so inclined, and there was a translation patch somewhere, I'd give it a try, as something different, at least.

You don't really need a patch to play it, just an explanation of the missions:
http://strategywiki.org/wiki/X/WalkthroughI haven't beat it yet, it is a little involved and figuring it out is half the fun!
