CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

As you can tell from the date underneath my name, I came to CAA quite a while back. Unfortunately, thanks to an incredibly extended absence, I'm sure a lot of you are probably going "Well who in the blazes is this?".

So, this is a new "nice to meet you!" to CAA members new and old -- I'm Debitt, though I usually go by Debs. The user name has little to no connection to my outside-the-interwebs name, which is Kelly if you're curious.

I'm a college student. I major in living under a cardboard box under a freeway overpass, otherwise known as East Asian Studies. It's basically a really short way to say "I study Asian history and languages".

I don't watch much anime, save for Axis Powers Hetalia. I do, however, read Shounen Jump like a fiend -- Katekyo Hitman Reborn, D.Gray-man, and Gintama in particular. I love photography, cosplay, and EGL fashion.

I use emoticons a lot.

I've recently been pushing myself to get more active on CAA again for a myriad of semi-personal reasons, and am now finally getting around to it. :3 The place has changed a bit since I first joined, but I hope to get to know everyone who I haven't met, or haven't spoken with in a while.

als;df that's hard. I kind of live off of fruits and vegetables, but I guess my favorite is probably pineapple.

Hahaha, way too many. Since I "seriously" picked up the hobby, I've made about 10 costumes, but then were my more noobish ventures (about 3 or 4), and the costumes that my friends loan me/stick me in. So yeah. xD waaaaaay too many.

Do you have any siblings?

One teenaged brother who's too much of a boy for his own good. :B

The former was just an old SN I used back when I was an annoying high schooler. When I switched, most people kind of already knew me as Debitt, so it just kinda jived with me better. :3

Welcome back to the CAA! I find it highly interesting that you are studying Asian languages....expect questions from me in the future!

Don't be discouraged. I know a lot of people that had successful careers later in life that had nothing to do with their Bachelor studies.

Ha ha, yeah. I ended up putting them down the middle, because it was easier to get in and out of the top that way.

I'd be glad to help, though my specialty is Japanese. My only knowledge of Chinese comes from experiencing my mother's side of the family.
