Howdy from a Christian Anime fan in Texas
I'm Peter. I was first introduced to anime in High School, but have recently gotten back into it with a newfound fervor
.
I am a Christian (obviously lol), and am quite excited to see that there are other Christians out there who share my love for Anime/Japan/Cosplay! I look forward to getting to know you all as time passes by.
Currently, I am watching Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and DeathNote. I am always looking for suggestions, of course!
I am active on Facebook as well, for those who may have a page there. Also, on cosplay.com, I am "airborne223."

Hey Peter and welcome to CAA! Those are good anime that you have listed. To be quite honest there aren't many anime better than those. You may like Samurai Champloo and FullMetal Alchemist. There are other anime I may list later, but Im still not sure what you like. Anyway, I hope you have a great time on CAA!

I do enjoy cosplay. My very first as a kid was Lord Zedd from Power Rangers
I have cosplayed so far as:
Jayne from Firefly
Tony Stark from Iron Man
(Not much yet, but more on the way!)
Current plans include:
Secret costume for Dragon*Con 2009
Wolverine
Generic Battlestar Galactica guy (easy cosplay FTW)
I'm trying to figure out what my first Anime cosplay should be. Hmmmmmm....
Nice to meet you, Yukoxholic! Glad there are other cosplayers here!

Lord Zedd....that's epic stuff there. XD When I was a kid I dressed up as the Pink Power Ranger for Halloween one year! ^__^ There needs to be more Firefly cosplay! That's awesome the characters you've chosen since they don't get enough love!
As of late I haven't been cosplaying much due to work, school, lack of time, and and lack of funds but I do plan on debuting quite a few come "con season" for me (aka the summer).
You'll have to post some pics of your cosplays sometime that is if you wish too. Do you make, buy, or have someone else sew your cosplays?

Nice choice on the Pink Ranger! Power Rangers was (is?) the stuff of legend!
I'm always hoping for more Firefly cosplay... got a lot of "so what's with the funny hat?" questions at Dragon*Con this year. Ah, the shenanigans!
I know what you mean about work/school getting in the way... but now that the semester is finished for me, I have a bit of time to get some work done!
Here are some pics of the (few so far) cosplays that I have done:
Jayne Cobb for Dragon*Con
The pistol was hand-painted/assembled by me, and took FOREVER haha.
Tony Stark for Halloween:
The Arc Reactor took even longer than the pistol... heh.
I try to build myself as much as possible, but I do buy a few pieces sometimes. So, I guess the correct answer is "a mix!" LOL. I don't (yet?) know how to sew...
