Hello everyone.

Hey everyone, I'm new here (ok, so that's probably a bit obvious). I like to talk a lot, so here's a not-so-brief bio:
My name is David. I was raised in a pseudo-Christian home in Marysville, WA . We really didn't go to church regularly, but I knew all the right things to do and say, etc. My parents divorced in 1994, and shortly afterward I got into anime as a way to seclude myself from dealing with the divorce. My mom became a full-on Christian as a result of the divorce, and I began attending church regularly with my mother. My mom met my step-father through a divorce-recovery group, and I moved to Yakima, WA where I began highschool. Not much happened there. I dropped out of high school in 2001 due to male pride and a conflict with the school board, and proceeded to ruin my life for 2 1/2 years through various periods of unemployment and outright homelessness. Eventually found myself both employed and having a home, and then addicted to Ragnarok Online. After playing Ragnarok Online for far longer than should have been played, I became a bit obsessed ... well, OK a lot obsessed with a girl there. It was quite literally a classic love-triangle situation, but over time it became clear to me that she was more interested in the other guy, so I quit RO to get my mind off of the situation. I turned very emo over the next few weeks, and eventually found myself stuck in a bizarre series of events, which culminated in getting my life turned in the right direction, and a calling to music ministry.
Today, I'm a freshman at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, ID, and my declared major is Music Ministry, though I'm thinking of changing to 'General Music with Emphasis on Worship Leadership', and I might be taking an internship in Okinawa over the summer.
Some random things about me:
I have an excessive level of tolerance for just about everything, and it's difficult to offend me in any way.
Despite entering ministry, I have a great distaste for most churches. I feel vastly more comfortable in smaller churches, and even then I'm very picky.
I wear an upper denture due to an absolute lack of self-esteem, neglecting my teeth, and a Mountain Dew addiction in the realm of 9 cans a day, minimum. Take care of your teeth guys, this denture REALLY sucks, even if it is a visual improvement.
Before getting the denture, I played alto and soprano saxophones for 14 years. As the surgery for the denture has not fully healed, I do not yet know if I will ever be able to play again
I sing in a low tenor range, and have an incredible singing voice (or so people say). I also don't really care much for singing (go figure), but it's my musical outlet now without my saxes.
I suffer from poor hygiene habits, due to years and years of simply not caring, and I'm struggling greatly to improve.
I have great appreciation for art in all of it's forms, but animation is my favorite.
My favorite anime:
#1 Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (Go FUNi!)
#2 Elfen Lied
#3 Aishiteruze Baby
#4 Crest/Banner of the Stars (II)
#5 Strawberry Eggs
#6 ROD TV
#7 Rozen Maiden
#8 Kaleido Star
#9 Mai-HiME
#10 AIR
... Now that I look at it, that's a bizarre list.
My favorite games:
#1 Final Fantasy VI
#2 Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete
#3 La Pucelle Tactics
#4 Xenosaga
#5 Shot-Online (Free MMORPG Golf Simulator. I'm a golf addict.)
Umm ... lessee ... I like RPGs, can you tell? And yes, I prefer La Pucelle over Disgaea. Sue me. Also have subscriptions to the following games:
World of Warcraft (Whisperwind Server) played occasionally
Planetside (US West Server) played occasionally
Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst, played rarely
My favorite music:
#1 Yuki Kajiura
#2 Ayumi Hamasaki
#3 Brad Paisley
#4 Yoko Ishida
#5 Nobuo Uematsu
Umm ... I like really anything but rap.
Uhh ... I can't think of anything else to put down here, though I'm sure I'll think of something later. You can blame Wingzero22 for dragging me here. If you decide for some reason to chat with me on AIM, I don't use away messages, and I'm online nearly 24/7. If I don't respond, it's because I'm either busy with a school project, or I'm simply not at the PC. I love to chat.
Oh yeah, I'll be at Sakura-con in Seattle at the end of March.
