Hello! I'm new here! Nice to pop in at a new place, get acquainted, be called a n00b a few thousand times! Hello to all! Might as well post some little preference tidbits here:
Introduction to anime: Superbook, at the age of four. But Pokemon probably got me liking anime as I came to know it.
Favorite Manga: I own none, and I'm not particularly fond of it, but I would have to say Furuba is done beautifully, very funny stuff!
Favorite Anime: Wow. Um...I'm just going to list the ones I like, because there are SO few, (anime is somewhat like a garbage-filled lake. It's gorgeous, but there's more junk than there needs to be...)
1)Fruits Basket is the only Romance anime I've come to love.
2)Fullmetal Alchemist is a great Action/Fantasy that makes you think...and puke, on rare occasions!
3) I'll always appreciate the original Pokemon. So simple, so fun, so Scooby-Dooesque! Could care less for what it's become as time passed, though! GIVE IT A REST.
4) I have a soft spot for Hamtaro. Haven't seen that much of it, but it's just plain adorable
5) Digimon Frontier, the fourth season, is just downright fun to watch, and episodes like Home Again can surprise you with amazingly talented acting, (one character played the whole episode as a mutated time paradox flashback, it was VERY touching,) and sweet campy moments.
6) Maybe it's not an official anime per se, but the 80s flair hard-to-come-by Superbook, and the Flying House, (I think that was the title,) are the only truly Christian anime shows I know of, and are all good fun, if not fairly simple and unprofessional, they are more enjoyable than most any American cartoon's take on the bible stories we all know and love.
7) BUT none of them compares to my all-time favorite anime, flawless, pure, funny, deep, dramatic, and Made for CHILDREN? Yeah. It's Digimon Tamers. The third season is...to die for. I'm not gonna say much more than that.
Whee. That's me introduction!
