Hi, I'm a new memeber here too and I though there should be a forum for everyone to talk in instead of everyone posting "hello I'm new". So come talk in here. Talk about your favorite animes, characters, how long you've been a christian, and other things about yourself!

Ill start it off

I have been a christian for about 7 years. I'm 15, umm, my favorite anime would probably be Neon Genesis just for the reason it is so complicated and how you can relate allot of it to christianity, but it also it can relate to other religions, which I'm sure you know. But my favorite character would have to be Heero Yui because he is such a strong cool character, and yet still has emotions. Anyways i think its so cool to have a site like this. Its hard enough to find people who enjoy watching anime, alone them being a christian.

Cool idea. There are formus that do deal with those things, like testimonies, specifically. To get to the other boards and stuff, scroll all the way down a thing that says "Forum Jump". It will display where you are currently, but you can select somewhere else to go. I had trouble figuring out how to get everywhere for a little bit. ^ ^;
Welcome to CAA!

Welcome, Shinjuma.

I am glad to see a new member take such initiative.

Information about myself can be seen on my Who's Who Thread. A warning about it though... it is very extensive.

Enjoy your stay here.

Welcome, and nice to have you here.

I love "Voices of A Distant Star" because of all the drama and emotion that is shown through the character's relationship. It's also amazing to me that the director could do so much with so little time - 25 minutes for the entire movie. See it, everyone! It's worth every cent!

See you around the forums!

Ah yes voices of a distant star, a great but sad anime. Thanks uc pseudonym, I never really thought of that. And Saru if you liek fight scenes you should definetely check out Gundam Wing, even though its mecha fighting its really good. Oh and for "humans" fighting you should probably check out Samurai X Trust and betrayal. Samurai X is one of the most amazing anime movies I have ever seen. Berserk Has tons of gore andkilling sword slashing but has some nudity towards the end. So don't watch berserk If your under 16 or if you offended by nudity. ( I don't care for it) I'll do my best to stop double posting.
Kite "the edited version" is pretty good movie, but ends sad like voices of a distant star, but I wont go as far as saying it is better than it. This anime/movie is violent. Warning, there are scenes that are sexual with no nudity, and one brief shot of the main character, so same goes for this one. I can't stand the fact they put nudity in anime, it pretty much ruins it since it limmits the audience, and offends people.

Everyone needs to go watch Trigun. That's one of my favorite Animes.

O and GracefullRocker, I'm not a hick either, but I do own a shotgun ^_^. I actually live in Houston. The only thing that I don't like about Houston is the heat and the humidity. for Ex. Temp. 98 Heat Index 110 (so it feels like 110 degrees)

I'm really glad to see this thread. I'm still kind of new here and not too sure about things...

Actually, it seems to be a good idea. I will do my best to allow the new persons to post, and confine myself to answering questions or moderating. One note, Shinjuma: try to avoid double posting when at all possible. Use the "Edit" button at the bottom of your post if you think of something you would like to add.

Hi, Shinjuma. ^^ I'm new here too. I have never seen Neon Genesis, but it sounds interesting. My favorite anime is Yu Yu Hakusho, mostly because it has plenty of good fights, and a great story line.

okee!
Hmm. . . favorite animes??? TOO many! A couple for example:
.hack//sign is really cool. I think Subaru-chan is cute, plus the whole series is really clean. (Own)
X/1999 was good. Not clean though in any way shape or form. I like Sora and Arashi, and the ending for some reason. . . . . (borrowed)
Ruroken/Rurouni Kenshin rocks! Some violence almost nil nudity, and a whole lot of plot depth. Loved the TV Series. (Own)
Neon Genisis Evangelion was hm m m . . . . still not sure why I liked this one. It had action sure, but nothing stellar. (borrowed)

These are to help you a little:
(borrowed)
(own)= have the series
I avoid watching dubs of any anime. I am enthralled by the language so I feel loyal to subtitles.

Voices of the Distant Star is one I really want to see!!!

Also I am becoming a Jpop fan. I like the music of the B'z.

Learning japanese a little at a time. . . Hmm. . . and also a previous video game freak.

Odd other thing: I feel I am most like the characters of Sanosuke Sagara of Ruroken and Shizuma Kusanagi of Samurai Girl: Real Bout High School

Area of Japanese stuff I am most comfortable is american manga. I know a little too much about a lot of it. :) Pm if you have any Q's.

If I may repeat Shinjuma's request: the intent of this thread is for new members to chat with each other. While I realize that "new" has a variable term, I feel that members with over 100 posts are no longer new. If those of us who have been here for some time could refrain from posting...
