Hiya!

Hi, my name is Caleb.
I am 15 yrs old and I have liked anime ever since my cousin started drawing it, my parents on the other hand didn't like it so much, they allow me to draw it, but, I have never seen an anime nor read a manga in my life. My parents are letting up on their dislike of Manga some and I'm getting more art books. Mostly I joined to get drawing tips from other artists.

Hello! Welcome to CAA! My parents are really careful with letting me watch anime and read manga as well. They've gotta look through every single page and read tons of reviews before I can read or watch anime or manga. =C

I understand (and to a certain extent agree) with my parents views on manga. They do tend to have bad stuf in them.
Unfortunatly for me my parent's don't like manga enough to look at any of the pages, so I haven't been able to read any. :shake:
As I said though, they're warming to it.

If your parents have any concerns with content in manga/anime, you can tell them CAA has a review section on it, but you probably allready knew this.

What kind of music do you like?
Favorite books/authors?

Edit: Oh, and there's a section for parents as well, hope this helps!

I know parents can't understand the otaku culture of us into anime and manga, but I hope they accept the fact that you love it soo much!

Unfortunatly, I must post my "Good-Bye" on my "Hello" page.
My parents decided that they didn't want on an anime and manga message board. I'm hoping to win them over to the idea that manga is not bad. But until then I will not be able to be on the board :waah!: If all else fails, my parents eliminate all parental controls when I turn 18 (2 1/6 more yrs.) and then I will return.
