It isn't really a good trailer though. Quite a lot of it is just footage from Batman Begins.

I'm excited for the new movie but this teaser trailer does nothing for me.

I think I just squeed...in a way no man should ever squee.

Yeah, I'm so ready for this.

How to get me interested in a trailer:

Show me the villains
Show me action scenes
Show me witty or interesting lines
Show me a small taste of what the movie will be like

How to make me go "This trailer is dumb and I don't care"

Show scenes from previous movies I've already seen
Don't give me any idea of what the movie is about
Don't show me anything interesting at all

Mm... yeah that was a terrible trailer. I mean, I know it's a "teaser" but come on... it's supposed to tease you in a good way. The teasers for the last two I thought were pretty good but this seemed so cliche, boring and uninteresting. Even the title cards were soo... blah...

I guess they feel people will just see this regardless they didn't even try with the trailer...

Yeah...I totally wasn't expected to be bored by the teaser trailer. I mean, it's freakin' Batman.

I think its interesting that they chose a bit of a less known villain like Bane. That was just a teaser though Im waiting for when the full trailer comes out and they show Catwoman!

Even though that teaser was really bad I feel very excited about the movie.

Well keep in mind, they've only been filming for about 2 months. And remember TDK's teaser? It was the Batman logo in front of some lights with lines from the movie. A teaser is just that, a tease. It's not really a "trailer." The Dark Knight Rises unfortunately doesn't come out until July 20, 2012.

It's also worth noting I guess that I'm a huge Batman geek and have been since I was about 2 years old. I've seen every iteration of the character brought to the screen minus the most recent "The Batman" cartoon series. So regardless of how bad this teaser may have actually been, to me, all it did was get me excited.

Movie trailers are kind of a dying art anyways. I don't even bother watching them anymore.

Like others have said, this is just a teaser, not a full trailer. That being said, it was still pretty horrendously made.

Its purpose is to tease to attempt to increase hype over the movie. Nothing more, nothing less. I suppose in December we might get a slightly more complete trailer.

This trailer makes me think that the studio was like, "Ah, frick, it's July already?! Well, we gotta give 'em something..."
"But what should we put in it? We've got so much great footage already that the fans would love to see. What would get them properly excited for this film?"
"...pushups. Definitely pushups."

It's not the greatest trailer, but it still isn't the worst trailer for a Nolan Batman movie.

Boring trailer. I'm not really too excited by the looks of it.


However, I have high hopes for it because of how well made the Dark Knight was.

Its a ridiculously uninteresting trailer. It kind of reminds me of the underwhelming first teaser for Inception.
