Just saw the trailer for this last night. Hooray, one of my fave comics is another live-action movie!
Here's the trailer
He's a wild west cowboy in a mad max-style world. How can it not be awesome?

It doesn't look like it has a lot of brains but the action and world they've created look great!

This is going to be terrible. Nothing like a western, or Jonah Hex. Magical powers, Rocket pistols and horse machine guns? This is just completely changing a character who is well known for NOT having supernatural powers or trick weapons, just toughness and gunslinging skills. It's not a Mad max world either, and I have no idea where you got that, even from that trailer. The acting also looks subpar, and the action scenes look tired and shot by a bored cinematographer. They prettied Jonah up to the point where he's barely recognizable, and added a character in so Megan Fox could play a hooker, instead of using the horrifically scarred but interesting Talullah Black.

I was referring to the source material.

The source material is straight up western, nothing post apocalyptic about it.

I think this looks interesting. I know nothing about the original source material, so I have no idea if its accurate or not, but the trailer makes me think it could be enjoyable.

Wasn't the Vertigo version different, though?

Hex was normal, the enemies were odder... zombies and such. Still nothing that showed up in the movie.

looks pretty terrible IMO and only because of megan fox. I have never heard of Jonah hex so the movie looks decent other than Megan Fox

I only know of Jonah Hex, so it can't really disappoint me for not being true to the source material, but even so I still wish I would stay truer to it, because I know if I was familiar with the source it would irk me to no end when they screwed stuff up. I'll probably still end up seeing it like I end up seeing all the other comic book movies though.
