So I saw the trailer for the new 007 movie today!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=EDmis5xqY1UI'm excited about this! It looks really good. I've only become a Bond fan in the last few years, but I'm really stoked about this movie. I think Daniel Craig is an amazing Bond.
Anyone else like these films?
Any opinions on the trailer?

Loved Casino Royale, despite the torture scene (painful!)
This sequel looks great also - pity about the crappy title though.

Craig is so much better then Brosnan was. The last Bond movie was great, this looks to follow that trend.

I have seen all 21 Bond films (22 including the unofficial Never Say Never Again or "Thunderball minus the good bits with a side cheese"), so yes, I am a major Bond fan. Daniel Craig is the best thing to happen to the franchise since Sean Connery.
Pierce Brosnan failed.

I'm not a hardcore Bond fangirl--as in, I don't really like the "old" Bond movies--but I loooooved Casino Royale (the theme song is my ringtone at the moment) and I'm super stoked about Quantum of Solace. At first, I was a little bummed that Ewan MacGregor lost to Daniel Craig for the Bond role, but now I couldn't be happier.

I haven't seen Casino Royale except for the ridiculously stupid scene at the beginning.

Ashley, I do not think I'll ever understand you.
Russian wall climbing is ridiculously stupid?

It looks very great. I really like Jame Bond, even though he is the oldest MI6 field agent in history:P.
I have to finish the rest of Casino Royale.

I didn't love Casino Royale, per se, but I did like it and am glad they've decided to reboot the series with a serious treatment of Bond. Not to mention Daniel Craig, who really blew my skepticism away when I watched the film. He's an amazing actor.
I think that Quantum of Solace could very well be a great film, since one of the writers on the film is Paul Haggis. He's responsible for writing other great movies like Million Dollar Baby, Crash, Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima. Fingers crossed, hopefully he'll give us another well-written story.

Ever notice how in the old series bond never aged even when everyone else did? My buddies and I came up with a theory: James Bond is as much a designation as 007. When you're brought in to the operation you're given the name, history, and code number and expected to carry the personality of Bond in order to continue the legend of Bond, after all if someone has heard of you and you happen to have a fearsome reputation, that gives you an extra edge, right?

Whenever the Bond guy changes, I'm always reminded of an article I saw in Mad Magazine called "Bond Villain Pet Peeves". One of them was "The moment your henchmen can recognize Bond on sight, they change his actor and face!"
Poor villains.

Yeah, I am looking forward to this for sure. I think Daniel Craig is great, though I never doubted it when they named him the next Bond. He is a good actor and I was excited to hear about the changes. I've not really complained about any of the Bond actors, the only one I felt overstayed their welcome in the movies was Roger Moore...

The James Bond movies are pretty good --I just don't like the "Bond girls" in them --their names are horrible --and he sleeps with all of them. Other than that, I really like them. (And the 007 games are really fun.

I was really unsure about Daniel Craig... I'll be honest.
Buuuut, he has become one of my favorite Bonds now! Honestly, I love his style and the way he carries himself in the movies!
I'm really liking having Judi Dench in these films as well. She's simply fantastic~~!~

I like most of the James Bond movies that I've seen. I liked the one that was set in Japan. I think it was titled, "You Only Live Twice". And, Spy Who Loved Me had that hilarious villain called Jaws. Goldfinger and Dr. No were very good as well. Well Dr. No is the original one right?
GoldenEye was also good. That one actually had a very popular video game for the Nintendo 64 system. Those are just some of the more memorable ones for me.
Although, I haven't seen Casino Royale yet. I'll have to see that before Quantum of Solace comes out.
And, it's a guilty pleasure I know. But, I like quite a few of the Bond girls.

Yeah, that's true. Anyways, thanks for saying that. It kinda makes me feel better that I'm not the only here who acknowledges it.

I remember her in Kingdom of Heaven. I like Eva Green as well. IIRC, I think she is a French actress. Anyways, another reason for me to watch Casino Royale sometime soon.

Dr. No is the original Bond film, but it's dry and kinda poorly plotted. It was From Russia With Love that really established the style and pacing of the Bond universe, while also being an excellent spy film in its own right.

I enjoy the Bond girls with personality and plot (Galore), not the ones who are just there for Bond to sleep with (Goodnight).

I've never been big into the James Bond films, but I love the music John Barry created for the series. "Thunderball" and "You Only Live Twice" are two of my favorites.
