this looks awesomely true to the spirit of the source material(more the second series than the original, but the original too)... and then pushed waaayyy over the top with graphics.
I actually kind of want to see this, since I'm a speed racer fan from when I was a little kid.

This is one of my most anticipated movies of next year 
And I never even watched speed racer... I realize this could easily be totally stupid and wasn't expecting much with the trailer but OMG I loved the trailer. I've always been a fan of highly stylized visual feats and this movie looks awesome in that regard. The colors, the outfits... the hair.. and I totally love the "zooming" background. Plus the whole video game clear uber clean look... I dunno awesome IMO... Then its racing... with crashes... which IMO is the only reason to watch a race IMO (ok ya I hate it when people get hurt but racing without crashes is boring... when I was little I had a number of electric race tracks and the more possibilities for crashes the better...)
