So... I just discovered this... i have Netflix, meaning I get 3 DVDs at a time, unlimited per month. Well, apparently, they have a service called "View it now" It's not the full selection they have on DVD, but they do have a few Anime, though probably not the best stuff...
I decided to watch Project A-ko... Boy this brings back memories (one of the first anime I watched)... The quality isn't spectacular, the volume is way too low, It's dub only, and it *grumble* only works on IE, but it's a nice LEGAL way to watch a lot of movies without waiting for them on DVD... What would be really nice is if they could get some VHS only movies like the 1958 "The Fly" movie...

Yay! Another Netflix user! Although anyone who gets into serious anime love should use it post haste.
And while they're selection is above incredible, I will admit there are a few films I have on my saved list that I'm still waiting for. But being able to watch 98% of everything you could want more then makes up for it. As for watch it now, I don't use it. I can be patient for a day in between my rentals for my films. And until iTunes selection of downloadable films increases with more anime, I'll still be depending on DVD's.

I'm guess this is the same thing that was reported early this year.
Netflix offers instant access
If it is, they have big plans for it.
I heard at one time that were going to test it this summer, but I didn't think it would be this soon.

Was that the OVA of Read or Die or the series R.O.D.The Tv?
They have been running the ads for it on tv for quite some time now.My personal favorite is the old man who wants to watch a scary movie with his cat.
tag line as it shows them watching Anaconda:"Now that's a BIG snake!"

If you're a Netflix member, you can watch movies online. The only cons that I've found is that they don't have anything available for instant viewing that I actually want to see...

So far only watched these on Netflix online:
1) Air TV, (last Disc isn't online so you need to request it.)
2) Munto
Yeah only dub version, no subtitles and have to watch through the IE browser.
I think its worth it, my mom & I have fun watching the animes together. Just finished watching Hikaru No Go, (She & my Dad use to play. And they use to have one of those really nice boards.) And as a family we're working through the second season of "McGale's Navy".
