An All CGI Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movies is currently In development.

The New movie will draw its material from the comics much like the first movie did, With Director/Writer Kevin Munroe consulting with Peter Laird (Co Creator) This could be the best TMNT movie yet!

The Offical site can be found here

I haven't much to say on this topic except that Im happy that it will be done in all CGI and the action level will be at a higher caliber!

What was wrong with the animatronic turtles, though? They were pretty good, I thought (and moved naturally, since they were stuntsmen in suits, obviously).

I thought the animatronic turtles were pretty awesome too. It's nice that they're making a remake, I guess...we'll just have to wait and see how good it is.

The idea for a TMNT cg movie has been on the shelf for over two years. I came across it ages ago when it put forward by John Woo, but was shelfed. Are you sure they're actually going to do it now?

I really hope so.

I thought The animatronics were awesome! But lets face it this way is simply cheaper and will enable the TMNT to do much more than what they could. (Although The suit were pretty flexable, it was teadious too keep care of them)

True, however, at that time there was nothing TMNT out there The cartoon was over and The Image commics were tanking.

Now that the TMNT have regained thier stardom this movie has much better a chance of being made.

no i mean the girl turtle

That was a terrible terrible mistake...One of the many reason that show failed...Lets not talk about it again.

Uh, I'm a child of the 80s. There was never a girl turtle. I don't know if there was in the comics or not, but there certainly was never one in the cartoon.

EDIT: Nope, there was never a girl turtle in the comics. In fact, I found a quote from Peter Laird, the creator of the Ninja Turtles:

"As long as I am in charge of this ship of Turtles, Venus de Milo will never be mentioned again."

I dunno. I liked April in the first movie, she was pretty cool.

However...a girl turtle would be bad. Thankfully I missed that part of the show.

Theres nothing wrong with April!

The whole reason Venus was introduced was to bring in a female veiwers, and was NT:NM (Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation)s' downfall...The project was doomed from the start.

I was commanded to post here.

I never saw the original TMNT movies, and I didn't much care for the cartoons then neither now. But looking from that single screenshot, I see that the movie will have some nice visualizations. Of course those who have been living long enough knows that pretty pictures doesn't make a good movie.

Maybe good, maybe not. I liked the movies and original show (not that new cruddy series; it just tries to hard to be good), and did you say John Woo is doing it? Then there's defiently a chance at it being good.

I can' believe you said that...The new series is about 10 times better than the orignal, And is what why does it try to hard?

John Woo, as my current Info. states, is not apart of this project.

I'm with Ronin on this one. I think the new series greatly surpasses the original, as it's closer to the comics. Come on. Shredder was portrayed as a bumbling idiot in the original series, but he's actually COOL in the new series. Being that he's a NINJA, that makes a lot of sense, rather than the "I'll get you next time, Gadget!" personality the original cartoon's Shredder had.

I agree, I liked April. And if they had to bring in another female character, why not introduce one of the already existing female characters? I always thought Ninjara was kinda cool..

Actually Ninjara was a characters from the Archie series of TMNT comics, Though she was one of the better ones.

Speaking of Female characters, The only major female characters I can think of beides April would be,
Kirai, leader of The Japanese sect of Foot.
Whoa, gravedig. Hope I didn't miss a thread. We are getting closer to the movies release date, so I hope it's okay.

I only just saw the trailer today, but it looks pretty good. I think the CG looks like it could work pretty well, and give the movie a more comic book-like feel than could be acheived in live action.

I'm not happy about James Arnold Taylor playing Leonardo, but Mako playing Splinter pretty much makes up for it. I think I'll go see this one if I can scrounge up the money. Anyone else?

I do want to see it. XD I'm disappointed that Panic! At the Disco is doing the soundtrack, I'm VERY disappointed with Leonardo's VA, and I'm also disappointed with April's character design (what were they thinking?), but I'm still hanging on to the last strings of "hoping for the best". XD I'll be seeing it eventually, I'm sure. XD

I was looking forward to the tagline at the end being:For Pizza!
Too bad it wasn't as it would have made a great punchline.

Donatello: Nice night.
Michelangelo: Mmm-hmm. Pizza dude's got thirty seconds.
Donatello: Hey, Mikey...You ever think about what Splinter said? About, y'know...Us not havin' him?
Michelangelo: ...Well, time's up. Three bucks off.

Yessss, I'm really looking forward to this, now.

I always thought it would be nice if they did this movie similar to the way they did Dinosaur (That is, CGI characters put in real-life scene footage) But I'm sure it will still be great the way it is.

I'm a big fan of the original movies, I never watched the old cartoons, but I watched some of the new ones. I love the old NES video games. Yeah, that's my nutshell recap of my TMNT fandom.

At any rate, I hope this movie will be good. It looks like it will =]

Panic! At the Frigging Disco?! My expectations for this movie just dropped ten notches.

Well, I doubt it'll be any good, but I'll probably end up watching it regardless. Eventually.
