Changing The Name:A Movie With Two Titals

Postby ashfire » Thu Jan 13, 2005 6:07 pm

A few years back CBS had a made for TV movie called "A Man Named Joe"
is now called "Man Of Miracles" on DVD which starred John Ritter as Joe Cass a minister and a volunteer firefighter. The story is about where Joe has problems with his wife and children and with his community. He works at trying to restore his family and his work with his community when he is called away to a house fire where a child that attends his church is trapped inside. He rushes inside and finds the child and sees that he and the child are trapped. Then a mysterious firefighter appears before him. "Follow My Path Joe!" the firefighter tells him. Joe with the child in his arms follow the firefighter until they are close to exiting. The firefighter turns to Joe and says "You Will Take It From Here Joe!" and returns the same way they had come and disappears.
When he makes it outside he ask did the other firefighter get out. He is told there was no other firefighter came out of the building.
The child tells people they were saved by God who looked like a firefighter.
As a firefighter this one movie that got to me when I had seen the movie and the scene gripping.
I have seen art done by a firefighter that is very spiritual at the Firehouse Magazine and at the Firehouse Expo in Baltimore.
One is a firefighter standing in his fire gear with a figure of the Lord behind him the title "Thou are not alone" another shows a firefighter hanging from a rope reaching for a child trapped in a window and the hand of the Lord pushing the rope closer the tital "A Helping Hand".
Another shows a pile of rubble with a fire helmet next to it and next to it a firefighter facing the Lord. The tital "Walk with me"

Has anyone else ever noticed that you see a movie at the theater or on TV and when it comes out on tape or DVD the name may have been changed.
I would guess it is usually a low budget film or something about the tital that had to be changed.
