My dad has it ... I like it when I visit, and frankly the stuff normal tv puts on for 'children' is absolute trash ...
Nickolodean is now owned by the mtv people which is becoming very apparent and it makes me mad to watch it with my little sibs now, yesterday I managed to sit still and not comment for almost fifteen minutes ... but then I had my eyes closed for half of that
Right, well back on track, sky angel can be good, but you gotta be even more on your guard with 'christian' programming because it's a lot easier for garbage (like false teaching) to get through when your guard is down cause it's supposed to all be good.

well that sucks major...I hate MTV they play the worst music and crude crap arround....This is searously going to detererate me from watching nick.

yea, we stoped watching it too when mtv bought it in the mid 90's i think it was
i want my youth room at church to get sky angel, with the dish that i have at my house we get 1 channel, and it plays music videos on saturday nights, which is awesome!

technically it's viacom that owns both mtv and nick, but still it's the same people pushing the same garbage agenda which is made readily apparent especially with christmas and everything...
there was a commercial on the other day with a snow-woman basically relating the story of rudolph the red-nosed reindeer only it was godard the dog who saved 'nick-mas' by pulling the sleigh so that all the happy nicktoons could get sloshed and celebrate the 'true' meaning of the holiday season .... getting stuff! and then at the end there is a lovely line "happy (insert holiday of choice) from us to you' or something to that effect ... such things are then enforced in the shows ... frankly i had to leave the room the second time it came on ... it's good to at least have alternatives like sky angel.

you've got that right. TVU is much, much better than anything MTV could offer. The interesting thing is ever since we've gotten it i've watched a lot LESS tv....probably cuz there's less to watch.

Praise TV was the only remotly good christian music station on Cable network.
