CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Have any of you watched this film? It is supposed to be in Botswana and I think was made in the eighties. It always makes me crack up, and I love the second one as well, though they do get the whole garb and Motswana thing wrong. They look more like west Africans than souhtern!

Since I'm from South Africa I can assure you that the movie was filmed in Botswana and (partially - the city scenes) South Africa. Did you know that this is one of the most popular movies, though, in Japan?

The gods must be crazy is a great film! To quote film-critic Roger Ebert - "A little treasure".

You should. It is funny as well, and I love to watch it over and over when it comes on. I wasn't saying it all wasn't filmed in Botswana, but the village was too green, or am I just talking from someone's point of view that's never seen the delta? It doesn't really matter. What I've seen there was not such richly black soil.

I love the parts with the truck keeping breaking down.
