I saw this movie today, and--
Wow! I absolutely love this movie. As one would expect from Pixar, this movie is hillarious and really original.
So, has anyone else seen it yet?

not yet... I intend to see it today if I can get enough of my school work done.
I have been on a big trip to the midwest this week and therefor, not only did I miss a bunch of school but also I missed the premire of the Incredibles!

I want to see this eventually, but not enough to spend money (except for when it hits the $1 theater, then I may see it, or maybe I'll wait until it hits DVD so I can rent it off of Netflix).

This was a hilarious movie! XD All the characters were so funny! XD Seemed more violent than Pixar/Disney's other movies though...With the whole cape thing...(Though that part was really funny...)

I know! So funny! Didn't you love Edna Mode!? Ack, there was a point when my two friends were laughing so hard they started crying!

Don't know if I'll be going to see it. I may, but I'm not sure. It does look pretty cute.

D-Did you see it!!?? Wasn't it great!?
And Warrior, I haven't heard anything about an Australian release, but I figure it wouldn't be far (if any) behind the American release date. . . Hmm. . .

I haven't seen Shrek 2 yet (plan too), Shark Tale, The Incredibles, and the Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow yet. The last two haven't been released in Australia yet but I'm looking forward to all four.

I just saw this movie.... it was great! All the characters were just hilarious, as someone said; edna was indeed the best character in terms of comedy.
Edna: "Edna mode." [3-barrel automatic lazer turret jumps out] "And guest."
---
Syndrome: "Wow.. you really are Incredible.. you actually got me into a monologue!"
---
That kid on the tricycle.
---
The kids fighting at dinner (and parent's reactions).
---
The scene with Elastigirl stuck between all those doors and still managing to kick butt.
---
The cape problem.
---
The StarWars Episode III trailer
I stuck around till the end of the credits but was very disappointed that there was no extra scene or joke at the end. It was like "thats it. there's nothing else to see here! its all over! go home!" It really brought home the fact that now that disney and pixar are splitting up, it might be a
long while before any really good computer animated movies come out of either of them

In my opinion, the best Pixar film yet. Like some people said, it is still very funny, but a bit darker than Pixar's previous films. Reasons why for those who feel the need to know...
People die in this movie, marital strife, and a good deal of super hero style violence.
I don't think it's a big deal, but some people might want to know.

It does indeed seem darker than any of pixar's previous films, but I dont consider that such a bad thing. One movie reviewer said that pixar is growing up and seems to be targeting an audience that is doing so as well. Seeing as I've been a pixar fan ever since Toy Story, I guess I fit that age group

Is the movie really that good to go see? Lol. My city's movie critics said it wasn't funny at all. Usually they're right, but I suppose I'll have to take ya'lls word for it.

It's not as comedy centered as their previous movies have been. A lot of the jokes are super hero cliches (the afformentioned cape), or comedy from the supers trying to live normal lives. Toy Story is still the classic Pixar movie, but this is a better film.

Couldnt've said it better, Viking
The only way this movie "isnt funny at all" is if you try to compare its laughs-per-minute (lpm) with Finding Nemo, which may always be the funniest pixar movie to me

Man, that Enda lady was hilarious! XD She reminded me of my hair dresser...XDD
The reason i thought it was more 'darker' or 'violent' than their other movies is because of the...CAPE scenes....*snicker*
Not that I don't like it, I'm fine with that. ^o^
And that short movie thing before the movie was so CUTE! ^_^ It made me go: Awww...

I hope I'll get to see it this weekend. Finding Nemo is my favorite Pixar movie so far, though I really liked A Bug's Life too.

lol, yeah, it sounds like it'll be great, I hope to see it sometime this week...
i have thought of the old pixar movies on a scale of 1 to 5:
toy story ***
toy story 2 **
finding nemo ***
a bug's life *

I must admit, one of Syndrome's lines made me remember something.
When he said, "And when everyone is super...no one will be."
I think (correct me if I'm wrong) it was an episode of Ducktales, or something. They went to this planet where everyone was a superhero except one guy who was completely normal. And they (for lack of a better term) more or less worshipped this guy because he had no powers whatsoever.
Anyway, I thought it was kind of interesting.

well, it's an odd phrase, but true... I hate Ducktales...

It also echoed a line from Dash earlier in the movie after his mom said, "Everyone is special," Dash turns to the window and says, "Which is another way of saying, 'Nobody is.'"

Having only watched the movie once, I probably just didnt hear it right the first time, but did he say he was going to give everyone "biological" super powers, or just fancy inventions like he uses? If he could give people real super powers, then why didnt he do it to himself??

Syndrome was gonna give them all mechanical powers, like his own.
CDLviking wrote:After his mom said, "Everyone is special," Dash turns to the window and says, "Which is another way of saying, 'Nobody is.'"
I thought that line (as well as it's Sundrome variation) was really good. Probably one of the best ever "thought" lines in a children's movie.

from the sound of it. I would have to agree, this is killing me, I REALLY WANNA SEE THIS MOVIE!!! *rips hair out*

Yeah that line did seem a bit philosophical for a "children's movie" if you wanna call it that. I asked my sister if she knew what Syndrom was talking about and she's like "nope!"
