HOW did Jin die?

I actually have unsubstantiated yet somewhat plausible theories on that. XD
It very well may be the case that Jin ISN'T dead, but is still stuck on the Island with the rest of the Losties. Upon further examination, his tombstone dates "Sept. 22, 2004" as the date of his death. Since that's the date the plane crashed, it's possible that Jin's death is part of the "Oceanic Six" story, and he's really still alive on the Island.
Problems arise there, too, though, when you look into the wormhole theory for the show. This theory states that the Island is connected to the "real world" by a wormhole, and since wormholes can only be kept open by constant bursts of electromagnetic activity, this explains the reason why the Button had to be pushed every 108 minutes. Supposedly, the Failsafe Key that Desmond used at the end of Season 2 released a substantially larger burst of electromagnetic activity to the wormhole so that it would stay open for a prolonged period of time, but once that time is up and it closes, it's possible that the Island is gone for good, along with everyone on it. This explains the urgent need to "get back" to the Island expressed by Jack at the end of Season 3, Charlie in the first episode, Michael Abaddon (the tall, black man), etc. Knowing this, Sun may be mourning what could become the true death of her husband, rather than his death as told by Oceanic.
