What movies have you seen this year (2005)

Postby Crossdive » Sun May 01, 2005 4:33 pm

I have seen (I'll rate them on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, the more the better):

1. Elektra *****
2. Pocket Monsters 7: Visitor of the Space Fissure (the 7th Pokemon in Japanese) *****
3. Howl's Moving Castle (in Japanese) *****
4. Hotel Rwanda *****

that seems about right for it from my memory of them. Hotel Rwanda was more like, it deserved five, but out of enjoyed or like better in general, Howl is higher I think.

Ok, I won't go into DVD views because I watch a looot of movies. Buy import horrors etc. So thats a list that would take too long to write up. However, for theater movies this year so far I have seen.

Sin City------ 4/5
Man Of The House---- 3/5
Constantine------ 4/5
Boogeyman---- 3/5
Elektra--- 3/5
Assault On Pricinct 13--- 2/5
Alone In The Dark-----0/5

Still a lot of good stuff I am waiting for though and need to see now. Episode 3, Batman Begins, Devils Rejects, High Tension, The Woods, Unleashed, Amnityville Horror...etc. Good year for movies thus far.

I haven't been to the theatre much this year.

Meet the Fokkers. (-_-)\ **1/2
Hero ****

I'm not even sure if those were movies I saw last year. It's been a long time since I've been to a movie theatre. ^__^;;

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Kung Fu Hustle and that was it. That movie absolutely rocked, though.
I'm a shoe-in for hater of the year.

I just saw Kung Fu Hustle as well. 4/5 Very very funny movie. One of the best kung fu movies I have ever seen. The fights blew the Matrix fights away.
