Ok, this discussion has sparked my intrest. I recently bought The Village and I just watched it (love the movie by the way). I heard a rumor when i first came to theators that M. Night Shymalan had to take a sound out in order to make it PG-13 instead of rated R.
[SPOILER]My parents and I agree it was the stabbing scene where the sounds where the knife peircing the flesh. I also think it could be when Noah fallls in the ground and they took out Noah's neck crcking...or possibly a animal squeeling and butchering sounds when they are being skinned.[/SPOILER]
Any thoughts?

wow, i just got home from watching it, (also saw it in theaters when it came out)
