Water Sports!

Postby Lehn » Fri May 14, 2004 2:38 pm

I'm a wakeboarding chic' 'meself, although the first ocean I get to without parental supervision; surfboard here my face comes
The Jr. High/ Middle School Youth Leader at my church got me into it; I've only gone out a few times, but I'm already totally hooked to the adrenaline rush.

(Danny Harf and Dallas Friday all the way!!!!!)

Anyone else do any water sports?

I looooove to kayak. Or even canoe, which is the same basic concept but with another person or two in the boat. Some of the best memories I have is sea-kayaking in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Other than that, I'm really not much of a water person myself. But my brother is joining the swim team at the high school, and I won't be suprised if my sister does too when she's old enough.

I'm planning to go back and get my PADI open water scuba cert one of these days (for a variety of reasons, my dad and I weren't able to complete the classes last time).

I was a swimmer for many, many years. Great sport, and very physically demanding, but I got burnt out on it after awhile. I still swim for fun, but here in Central IL it's either the pond or a pool. So no waves. But on vacation, when I get the chance, I love to swim in the ocean, body surf, boogie board, etc.
