Hi guys,
does anyone know how to shrinl picture file sizes that are like over 500 kb to something small enough to post in CAA boards? I think it was maximum size 200 kb or something like that. Thanks!
God bless you,
Wiggins

The quickest way is to convert it to JPEG format. If it's already in JPEG format, you may just need to scale the dimensions down a bit.

Hope that helps. ^_^

Most image editing programs (specifically my favoriate Windows one, Irfanview) can let you control the JPEG compression level as well... you can usually tweek this a bit depending on the image to get more compression (at the lost of some image quality).

Irfanview will also allow you to adjust the dimensions of the image as well so you can shrink it physically (which will reduce the file size as well).

Yeah, if it's JPG, you need to change the dimensions. ^_^

One word..... IrfanView.... Google it, it'll save your life ;)

here... try this place (listed as the home page for the USA): http://www.ryansimmons.com/users/irfanview/

And depending on the image you might get more benifit out of changing the compression level.

In PS5, you can make the image bigger or smaller by going to Image>Image Size then adjust the width and length. I think that's the menu that it's in.
