SuSE on ebay

are those versions of SuSE Linux on ebay the same things as what you would get if your bought it from the company, or are they just burned on someone's computer?

I'm guessing that it's just like anything else you'd get on Ebay, some are legitimate and some are not. Unfortunately, there's no easy way to tell which is which (speaking generally of items on Ebay)...-_-;;

I wouldn't buy on ebay.. you might just be buying downloaded ISOs.

Yeah. I'd recommend staying away from the boxed sets. They're a bit pricey usually, and if you need the support, you may not want to be installing linux in the first place...
