Hi all,
My dad always has MS office on his machine at work, and it is set to auto-hide on the right side of the screen. Personally, I can't stand it and don't understand how he could possibly like something that pops up everytime you move your cursor over to move the scroll-bar, or close a window! In fact, sometimes when viewing a dark page I move my cursor all the way to the side of the screen just to get the big white thing off the screen
Anyway, I thought about putting it on the top, but then it pops up whenever you want to minimize, close, or resize a maximized window. I thought about putting it over on the left, but then I can't get to 'file' menus or the 'back' button on my browser!
Argh!
right now I have it in window form and hiding in the left-bottom corner, the farthest away from the parts of the screen I actually use as possible, with only the 'minimize' button showing. Which of course almost ruins the purpose of the whole thing entirely.
The thing I don't get is, why can't dad settle for having a shortcut bar on the bottom of the screen, and a desktop, and a start menu? Why must there be 3 easy access links to everything?
So annoying...
