Finally after alot Anime os is finally done and up. It's Linux based Operating system and based on slackware. Alot more stuff has been added to it and my page will be up sonn for now just the download. One thing this doesn't have X window system it's all console based. And best of all it's free and only takes 500mb of space on you Hard Drive. It's an easy install. It uses the slackware install. The download is 382mb so it's a big download but here it is

Anime OS Is a linux based operating system made by me and also based on slackware linux. I edited the operating system and made more faster and add more stuff to it. I also made it because i wanted to be the first to make an operating system for anime. You can use it for other things besides anime but that's why I made it. It doesn't take much space from your hard drive but you should know a few things with Linux console or otherwise it will be kinda hard for people to use. This does not included Xfree86 but has alot of programs that run off the console. And it has all kinds of server programs like apache web server ftp server Samba file system and more. I am making a Manual that tells all about Anime OS and how to use it it ahould be out soon but that all I can tell you.

glitch1501 tell me what it says or what you are trying to do to make your partitions?

Another Bug found

Hey guys I found another bug in my setup -_-. It's when you are trying to make a swap partition. I was unable to fix it yet I will make an update when I do. It only happens with a some computers not all. But if you need a swap you will need to wait I should be able to fix it later on but maybe not intil wednesday. again sorry for any trouble but you will still be able to install my os without a swap.

Ok

Sorry guys you can't create swap Partitions in my setup for some reason i'm not sure why it won't but it won't the probelm has been unresolved. But you can do everything else but not swap Partitioning. To me my os you really don't need it anyway.

But everything else should be bug free

Keep in mind without a swap partition, you're going to need a *lot* of RAM to do anything serious. That would be a major problem IMHO (most of my systems have almost a gigabyte of swap or more due to their large amount of physical memory).

Yes you have a really good point there but with my os there is not really anything that will be taking up alot of ram i don't have Xfree86 and programs that will take up alot of ram. I have installed it to my 32MB computer and it works fine even when I'm running a server. I'm so sorry My next version I will fix it.

glitch1501 sorry about that but install it and tell me how you like it. Or anybody else

I figured out how to make a swap partition on my operating system! This is what you do. When you start up my operating system setup disk don't go to the setup yet stay in the console. Go to cfdisk make sure you got all your partitons setup then you type this in

mkswap /dev/xxx

Then type in
sync

Finally type in this

swapon /dev/xxx

xxx means what partition device you are using for example hda5 is my swap partition so it would be /dev/hda5/

All SET

One thing DO NOT go to the setup and format the swap partition you just made!

Good Question two things: Well not yet I should say but later on I will make it better for anime like make anime utilits and other stuff. And second it doesn't have to been just for anime . It can be for anything you would like.

The main reason why I made my os is to be the first person to make an Operating system for anime.
