Firefox is doing weird thing

Every time I press the " key (quotes, single and double), it opens the Find menu. This is the most annoying thing that has ever happened... never had this problem before. Now, I cannot abreviate things like "it is" or "cannot".

How does one such as I turn this off?

It should come up when you first press the single quote key. That's a feature. It shouldn't do it when you are in a text box. If you quit, then re-launch, does it still do it? Sometimes the "focus" variable seems to get off by a layer or two - usually caused by an IE-only designed website.

No, I use Firefox for pretty much everything, including CAA and no problems. (It's those darn Windows Updates that are only IE compatabile) ugh!

Ah. I guess that could be taken that way. I meant if you had recently visited an ie-only site you might have that kind of trouble for the rest of the time you were using your browser. To answer the question, no. CAA was disigned not to be IE hostle, but that's about the extent of it. It (CAA) runs well on everything from opera on mac to ie on xp.
