As you (or just Shoo) maybe know, Apple's 30th Anniversary is next Saturday and they have been planning for a while. It seems that Job's won some property a few years ago and has been planning some huge publicity stunt for next Saturday.

Google Maps the first one, the second has more info.

Oh and if this is more General material then moving it is a good idea.

So THIS is what Jobs does with the money he makes by releasing a new iPod variant every 10 minutes. Actually, I do like Apple, so hopefully none of the Apple fans will want to kill me for saying that ^_^

Dang, I was hoping for an Intel iBook announcement so I can finally decide on a laptop for September.

I think someone is pulling your leg. (Btw, it's Jobs -- no apostrophe.)

Well, that place in the google maps does seem legit... Anyone pull out? It's in the middle of australia... I started circling it, and was like "Whoa, it's an island" but then I realized... No... It's a small continent... "That's no moon!"

In any case... It may be something entirely different, that just happens to look vaguely like an iPod... So, the joke would have to be people who saw that as being an iPod, not the picture itself... If it was intentional, that place is about half a mile wide and a mile long, according to the measurements on the map, so... that's a rather large building... (looks up the heilig meyers store)

You can find the actual story via searching digg.com, if you are really interested.
I remember reading something there. Actually - now that I think about it - they may have been quoting el Reg. I think I'll refrain from posting the gereric link thereto, though.
