Well it seems they took all the good parts of Firefox (Tabs and RSS) and added their "unique" M$ spin on it.

I'm downloading it right now to check it out, though Lifehacker had some problems with it.

Here's to reverse engineers?

Edit: well after restarting it loaded pretty quick (faster than Firefox but thats a whole different story.) One thing that stood out is the total not-IE but kinda Opera/K-Meleon feel to it. Everything is a symbol now...pretty cool.

Another thing, it's fast. Weirdly faster than a fixed up Firefox.

Here's a comparison the company of my software firewall (Outpost) did.

Give it whatever credibility you prefer.

i was pretty impressed with the ie beta, its alot better than what they had, and i even like the ui, but without extensions, i probably wont use it

but it is faster at rendering pages than firefox....but the firefox 2.0 alpha is also available...:)

Weird, i'm using IE 7 more than Firefox. Mainly because after downloading Bon Echo, it loads up as 1.5 but without any Apps/Extensions.

Anyone had this problem?

I'd be surprised if it loaded them, actually. The version code is probably different than those listed as compatible in the Extensions' information files.

At MIX06, they made a CSS Zen Garden layout to show off the CSS improvements they made to IE7. About time, I say.

extentions make or break a browser according to me.. .so i'll stick with my trusty FF 1.5, and let IE 7 rest peacefully as an extention of firefox (IE Tab!) for getting windows updates, and other microsoft-controlled extention pages...

I don't want to change browsers :sniffle:

Who knows... Maybe they'll win me back...

Meh...
