You know when you make a website and you have your own work hosted there? Well, how do you go about getting one of these:
All the content of this site is property of its respective owner(s)© 2005 Please ask permission from the respective author before using anything. ?
Do I just make my own? Or is there a site I can get one from?
Thanks, Aaron

Just use that one. Copyright is automatic, you don't have to explicitly apply for it. (of course, you can still register a work to make enforcement easier, but it's not, strictly speaking, necessary.)

You should also include the magic words "All rights reserved." as (not in the USA, but in other countries) rights are not explicitly assigned to you unless you ask.
You should be as specific as possible in assigning the copyright, unless this is not possible to do.

All the content of this site is property of its respective owner Aaron Nethercot. Please ask my permission before taking anything from this site for online or offline purposes. (c) 2005
How does this look?

Looks fine to me, though I have to admit it's odd seing the word "Please" in a legal notice. I would change that to:
"All the content of this site is property of its respective owner Aaron Nethercot. Obtain permission before taking anything from this site for online or offline purposes. (c) 2005"
I'm not that fond of wiggle room for legaleaze kinda stuff, though.

Make sure you say (C)2005 Aaron Nethercot -- not just an unattributed copyright (even though you'd think it's obvious, don't assume obvious == legally binding). Also, don't forget the "magic" words "all rights reserved."

Take a look at the bottom of this page:
http://www.eirewolfcreations.com/
I have that notice on every page of my web site. Just make sure if you say something like "All content of this site is property of me" -- make sure it's true. In other words, be sure you're not using someone else's images, etc.
I just realized I may have a problem with that notice being on my "Links" page, as I have other artists' banners there. That might be obvious, though, 'cuz the banner links to their site. Must think on this....

Oh...Everything on the page is mine except the background, which is Geocite's. So I guess I should change that, huh?
