My friend and I are going to start this site for uploading some home videos we create, but we don't actually know how to upload videos from your cam-quarter to your PC.

(The camera we're probably gonna use won't be digital).

Thanks, if anyone has an links to tutorials, that would be great.

Well, you'll probably need to get a converter box to convert your analogue output from your camera to a digital signal your computer can understand. (I have one right here on my desk). What kind of computer do you have? You'll need to make sure the box you get works with it. I've got a pinnacle Movie Box that seems to work just fine. Most of those boxes come with recording software - or if you use a Mac, you can use iMovie.

1. I have a windows XP comp.

2. What do you mean by "a converter box to convert your analogue output from your camera to a digital signal your computer can understand."?

Serry, I'm new to this, but by that do you mean streaming videos to you PC?

Z

PS: I think we're probably just going to buy a digital camquarter.

OK, but make sure it works with your computer (the camera will say so).

you need a video capture device, i have dazzle, i got it from circut city for about $50 (cheapest one you can get) and all you have to do is hook up the camera using the av cables to the dazzle device and plug dazzle into your usb port. Next open up window movie maker select record and starting recording your movies onto your pc. I had an old anolog camera so i went through all that hassle once. anymore question just pm, video editing is my fav thing to do. also a good site to check out is
