Download Woes

I'm having download woes! Can some one please tell me why when i try to download big files like Ragnarok online (even the incremental version), i always staret with great download speeds of around 30 kB/s which drop to about 10 kB/s within the next 2 seconds, stay there, and then after a while, the download window says it's downloading, and says it should finish completely in say 1 and a half hours, but after 2-3 hours, it is still in that same place without progressing a single percent. How can i solve this? Small downloads work fine. My internet connection is ADSL through a wireless internet router. Thanks!
God bless you,
Jonathan

Usually when this happens to me, it's a bad server. Sometimes my downloads start good at 500kbs...then drop to 100...and eventually stop. I pick a different server and it works fine.

Ooh...a wireless router...how's that working for you anyway? I've been wanting to get one for awhile.

No. I do not use any p2p or filesharing programs like bittorrent, kazaa, emule, etc.

I don't know how to do that. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I managed to bypass my problem by downloading a smaller file, GetRight which is a download manager that allows downloads to resume, and can even speed up your downloads! Thanks guys!
