While one is playing, I mean. I want to spruce up my notebooks for school by putting some anime stuff on them, but I can't find the pictures I want from the animes and I have the DVD it's on. If I could play it and get the pic from the DVD, it'd help.

No, sorry...
I use a digital camera. Or you can just look on the Internet for screenshots and stuff.

You have a DVD-Rom in your PC? If so then the software that came with it should have options, otherwise you'd have to go with the digital camera picture of the TV or a video capture board in your PC.... or just keep searching the Internet for screencaps (not as easy sometimes as it sounds).

I found a 'capture screen' option in the DVD program while it was playing...now, how do I print it? I guess I captured it, it didn't give any response.

Print screen key doesn't usually work on video, Chazz... I was very frustrated by that. Movie maker can capture screenshots, though...

what he said
on and if you use paint (or some other utility) it would be wise to make the picture smaller. And having it a bitmap is BBBBAAAADDDDD, bitmaps files are tooooo big. You could make it into a Jpeg but the quailty will go down a few, i recommend using an image converter, check
http://www.download.com for one, i forgot where i got mine from.
