It works. For your first web page not bad. But if I can be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of tthis certain layout. If I may, can I give you some pointers?
First: Centering everything is hard on the eyes. Both banner and titles are okay to center, but when the whole page is, it becomes a strain on the eyes.
Second: The text. It's easy to read, but it's hard on the eyes.
Third: I'm not the biggest fan of background images. But if you really insist on haveing one try not to make the background repetitive:
Try this
Replace your html code :
<body background="images/Star_Wars_Death_Star_Wallpaper.jpg" text="#33ff33" link="yellow">
to
<body background="images/Star_Wars_Death_Star_Wallpaper.jpg" bgproperties="fixed">
This will have the background image stay in one place and only have the text and images scroll up and down. It's a niffty trick. But just let me advice, it only works on Internet Explorer, not on netscape or foxfire.
Here is an example I have done (works only on IE):
http://www.geocities.com/agasfas/test.html
It's not good, but it's just a quick example I put together in like a minute.
Although, I would advice to ditch the Background image and go to color
Fourth: Take out the yahoo search bar, there is really no need for it. How did they find your web page to begin with? Most likely a web search.
Finally, If you dont know how, find a tool that will help you with tables. Tables are really easy to do and make the page look a lot nicer. It really does make the web pages layout easier to follow
I don't mean to sound critical, only trying to give some helpful advice that really makes a huge difference. SO please don't take this personal or anything like that. It always helps to get advice from others; that way you know what you need to improve. If you really want to get further into HTML, try looking up on the web, "webpage layout tips," or something along those lines. I know there are a ton. Hope this helps.
Edit: Also, what is your theme and who is the projected audience? Is it about you and your interests? It really seem like a bunch of stuff cluttered around. Web pages serve more purpose when there is a central theme that is evident. I know a lot about html, so if you ever need any kind of help feel free to PM me.
Edit Edit: Also, a few links don't work, heres the list of what doesn't work:
X-box hack
World and American history
World's dumbest test results
Sometimes when you do webpages, they will work on your computer but not some elses. Because you computer keeps history and etc etc... but it's always good to have someone else check to see if the links work. The web is crazy like that.
The Positives:
But like I said ealier, it's quite good for it being your first one. You seem to have the basics down. Trust me, my very first one was horrific. OVerall, Not bad.
