Help with Paint Shop Pro

Postby Keckhs » Sun Oct 10, 2004 11:38 am

Okay. I own Paint Shop Pro 8.1. It was working fine for a while and then it started to slow down in performance. Now my computer won't start it at all! Last time I tried it froze up! Can anyone help me?

hmm... did you change any settings w/ the brushes or anything? Also what are the system specs? Finally have you/ or did you manually delete any programs; or perhaps delete a bio/reg key that is shared by another program (when uninstalling another program)? IF so, try unistalling it, then re-installing it.

Answering all questions:
I don't think I've recently deleted anything, and my computer met all user specs last I checked. I did once save a few things on the clipboard for use in later applications, but I'm not sure that has anything to do with this problem. My dad said it was probably not the program and there is probably some problem somewhere else in the computer that is causing this. He's going to play with it later on and see if he can fix it.
I DID once try to swich the background layer with another layer in paint shop pro, but I don't know if that caused the problem either. Lastly, no, I haven't uninstalled any programs lately. I don't know if any of this info will help, but I'll do anything (within reason, of course) to get this resolved.

guess it doesn't help.... You just may have some conflicting problems. That would be I only guess. You may want to check out the official web site. I wish i could help you more but i use v.7 so i dont know much about v.8. Sorry about that.

Update about v.8. A co-worker of mine told me that Photoshop v.8 has a lot of glitches. You may want to contact the adobe and ask them about it.
