9/11 Remembered

Hey all,
I was just wondering if anyone would like to share their thoughts on where we are 5 years after 9/11. Where were you when it happened? Was anyone here directly affected by it, or did you know someone who was?
Anyway, I was at work that day, actually stayed the whole work day while most other people went home. We had no TVs there, only radio, so I didn't see anything till I got home(other than the smoke). I lived about 15 miles from the city, and worked about 30 miles away. Even from my job we could see the smoke. It was so crazy that day, I'll never forget what it was like.
In the town I lived in, there was a reservation that overlooked the whole city. From what I understand, it was jammed that day, and a lot of people actually saw the whole thing. My boss was one of those there, and he saw one of the towers fall.
Anyway, the accountant for my job lost her boyfriend in the towers. I didn't know anyone directly myself. I wonder, are we any better off now? Are we any safer?
Is it possible that maybe, after years and years of trying to kick God out of our country, He finally gave us a glimpse of what that meant? It is unfortunate so many had to pay with their lives...
Anyway, my regards and prayers go out to all who have been affected in one way or another. I hope you all have been able to continue your lives to some degree, to be strong and to make a difference in this dark, dark world. May you all be testaments to the strength God gives to get through the valley of the shadow of death.
