"In Response to Kaneko, and the Birds"
I also wish the birds sang
sang brightly and sang true
the birds have sung their songs for me
perhaps they will to you.
Perhaps not in the light of day,
under a baleful sun, or an iron moon.
but perhaps during the dimming of the twilight
you might step outside
and hear a tune.
I also wish the birds sang
sang brightly and sang true
the birds have sung their songs for me
perhaps they will to you.
Perhaps not in the light of day,
under a baleful sun, or an iron moon.
but perhaps during the dimming of the twilight
you might step outside
and hear a tune.
