Believe it or not, I used to write excessively when I was younger. As time and life has progressed, I just haven't been able to find the time. So, in order to defeat this, I will post pieces to back in the game here. Please edit and critique; be has judging as you see fit. Also, if you have any feelings or personal poems to go along with it, post it aswell. Thanks!!!

Okay....here goes nothing!

First tears
first sighs
first laughs
first cries
first friends
first praise
bad choices
Last days
Life is but a fleeting dream
to where all would seem
all is good; only bright
many not seeing impending night
First chances
first hopes
first loves
first all
Be careful of what you to
before the curtain must fall
"For the world's a stage",
or so it may seem....
so live your life fully
Last days
Lasting dreams

Here's another poem....that's a bit more upbeat.

Can you do die of boredom?
This question I must know....
for in this moment I feel as if
that's how I will go....

I sit around and wait all day
for something new and gay
but nothing seems to happen
a disappointment, I must say!

So can you die of boredom?
For Time has seemed to stop...
Can you die of boredom?
No more ticking of the clock...
Can you die of boredom?
Oh will it ever end?
Can you die of boredom?
Another around the bend...
Can you die of boredom?
What will Imagination rend?
Can you die of boredom?
Waiting for something new....
Can you die of boredom?
When all of life's askew....
Can you die of boredom?
A silly question, I know....
Can you die of boredom?
freetime must clearly show.....
Can you die of boredom?
I ask and ask again....
Can you die of boredom?
Will boredom ever end?

Hello again, seemingly uninterested readers! Hehe...

I have been listening to a large amount of Holst and Copland lately...and it has inspired me to write this:

Flag waving proudly
colors red, white, and blue
land of prosperity
Great, proud, and true.

See the grains in the field
or the flowers in the mountains
The canyons and the oceans
or the buildings and their fountains

Blessed we are indeed,
to live in this land
were we may be free
Hail to the common man!

Here's a sillier poem.....based on my job

A dinging of pots
a frying with pans
hurrying to make the demands

a pound of sugar
a stick of butter
be careful with the cutter!

A hint of cumen
a dash of salt
The slightest mistake all your fault

a tad of thyme
and a little rosemary
don't forget to add the dairy!

From mashed potatoes
to creme brulee
this is how I live from day-to-day

And if you ask
"Why the bitter look?"
I'll answer you:
"Sir, I am the cook."
