CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I'm working on like 3 manga right now, 1 which a full volume is finished but I will redraw since I've gotten better.

Anyway, I have a manga script I wrote, and all I need to do is tweak it up a bit, and it would make a pretty good story! The working title is "Reach Out" but I plan to change that later. Another project I'm writing is called "Asako's Journal". Also, there is a one-shot story I have in my head that I've REALLY wanted to see drawn out.

So, if anyone is willing to help me with these projects, that'd be nice. Just 1 mangaka per project, so I guess I need 3 of you XD I'd really love to collab. I think it'd be fun!

Oh, and note, I go to church on Saturdays, so I usually make my characters go on that day, so if you're not bothered by that....that'd be great ^_^ It's not the main focus of the story, so don't worry....

.. i'd love too... i am also working on a manga, but i find it a bit hard because i'm not really that good at formulating good dialogues... i'm average in terms of drawing... it's nice when you have someone to work with... tell me your story and i'll draw it for you... i signed up to your website too.. hehe... i'm looking forward to work with you... Sure! Which story would you like to try out for? I also ended up thinking of yet MORE ideas XD What kind of manga do you like to draw? I have 3 slice-of-life ideas, and 2 fantasy manga ideas that both are connected.

i'd rather have the slice-of-life genre... i'm not that good with drawing backgrounds so fantasy would probably kill me.. hehe..

LOL, okay, I see. I'm not good at drawing backgrounds either, so it wouldn't really bother me if it were background-less. If you ever wanna challenge yourself with it someday though, let me know!

Okay, so basically, "Asako's Journal" is about a girl, who is moving to a new town, and she ends up being taken in by this group of Christian teens, and joins them every week. She keeps a journal.

"Reach Out" the main character is also a girl, but I focus on other characters, and she is trying to reach this new girl who is kinda troubled, and she is looked down upon by her fellow Christian friends for hanging out with a girl like her.

The one shot is an idea I had for awhile. About 2 childhood friends. 1 is a guy, who never speaks, even though he isn't mute. And the other is a girl, who is very talkative.
He has to move away, so they spend one last day together, and in the end she hears him say something for the first time and as he's about to leave, he gives her a gift: a Bible. And the note he gives her gives her a verse, and he tells her that Jesus is a friend who doesn't leave no matter what.

If those don't fit your fancy, I can think up a WHOLE lot more stories! In fact, just throw me an idea and I can write you a script!

wow! the one shot story is awesome! and thank you for offering help [specially in the dialogues].. i would be working with the one shot this weekend... i know how to draw modern buildings and parks ... but not the seals or the action lines when a character uses his power and stuff [like that of cardcaptor sakura and tsubasa chronicles]..


well, i already have 12 page of my manga... but i haven't written the dialogues of it just yet... hehe... the story is about a rich young girl [15] who is always busy taking care of their family's huge business after her parents died... she was often abducted and threatened by her cousins because of wealth... and she always frowns... then she had a bodyguard who happens to be a CHRISTian.. and her classmate.. though he was poor, he always smile and help... haha! [now i'm blushing].. can you help me with the script??? hehehe... thank you so so much!

I believe the original poster is asking for help with her ideas. She is not looking for new ideas.

Wow, your one shot idea is very intriguing to me! Just this summer I met a childhood friend from 12 years ago and I gave her my bible. We're both not very talkative. This is too much of a coincidence!

Really? Wow. I still need to write out the script for it, it'll be nice to finally see it as a manga.

Maybe I could draw it... no guarantees though with school and everything else bogging me down. The earliest I can get a finished manga out at this rate is in May, after APs.
