Well, whilst I was surfing around on
Cognatio today, I happened upon a Christian web manga that I'd never seen before. Warriors of Prayer. Very cool so far. I've always been quite the fan of spiritual warfare stories, so I'm very interested on watching this one unfold.
Rumour has it that the artist is a member here. Small little Chrisitan anime world, ne? You can check it out from the beginning here:

The artist is a member here!

Gypsy, it is not a rumor. It is the truth. The artist is WoP.
Look here.
Keep up the good work, WoP!

I'd hold off my judgement until I see the actual spiritual warfare part. But I've seen this before through Cognatio, and was interested enough to read all of it. Shame she's skipping to a chapter by chapter update pattern, but I suppose that it's just as well.

Yep, I'd found it too by browsing WoP's homepage link.
Nice work so far!

*laughs* Well, I knew she was here somewhere, but I didn't know her username (that rumor bit was bait, if you know what I mean
) But now that I know who she is here ... It's the same WoP that wrote a review that I approved yesterday, PMed her, and then by chance later on in the day found her webmanga and emailed her and introduced myself? *smacks head*

Heeheehee, that'd be me! I'm just everywhere.
I'm amazed at all the awesome feedback I've been getting; thank you everyone! Currently the webcomic is locked, as I am at this moment redrawing and reformatting the entire story into chapter by chapter manga format. So you should be seeing a whole new website and manga sometime this month!
And don't worry, I will be getting into some major spiritual warfare. But I felt I needed to take the time to introduce my "WoP" before getting them in more serious situations. We'll be recieving the Armor of God soon, as well as introducing 5 warrior angels that are going to help out throught the course of the story.
I will say though, that despite the light beginning, this story is going to be rather intense and dramatic. We've been light and fluffy up until now while introducing Madeline (who's entire purpose in life is to be light and fluffy) but as soon as Wendy steps into the spotlight I'll be taking this to a totally different level. We're gonna get spiritual and angsty, and there will be some tragedy. But there will be good stuff too, because all bad must be balanced with good. I hope that anyone reading will stick it out with me through the harder times to reach the better stuff.

It is very good to hear from WoP, given what is being said. Connections to the characters are very important in stories heavy in spiritual warfare. I'm all for seeing some angels as well. But I would have one slight question, which is my only real negative comment.

This is the one aspect that made me worry slightly. In my mind, converting in one experience is not a good thing by any standards. However, I did not feel it would be prudent to mention it, as I had no way of knowing what
your opinion was, as seperate from the characters'. Since you're on CAA, however, I have the opportunity to ask...

I understand completely. During the planning stages I hadn't meant for Madeline to be as flighty as she ended up; that's one of the biggest things I plan on fixing during the reformat. Her silliness ended up making the whole story a bit too light, so I've been working on keeping her character together a bit more so she doesn't just explode into pink and fluffyness again. The story is geared so that it will be lighter whenever two of the characters are starring, and then more serious when the third character is central. So the atmosphere of the story really depends on which character is currently front and center. We will generally be a bit happier when Madeline is around, and a bit more spiritual and intense when Wendy shows up.
I've seen good stories go weird before trying to switch from totally silly into dramatic angst, which is what I'm trying to avoid

Hi there, fellow aspring mangaka
Nice to have you here.
I haven't read the whole story yet and I don't really get "fluffiness". But I always face the temptation to make my main characters seem happy, silly, clumsy at first and then advance them into an angsty, intense, depressed phase in life. It seems stereotypical but I think it's also realistic to a certain extent. Everyone lives through ups and downs in real life.
But it's a good opportunity to show how an individual can chose to react to it in a Christian way. Just my two cents. Good job in your manga!
