I randomly caught wind of this series when I found fanart on a Japanese website - I haven't been able to track down anything but a teeny picture of (presumably) the main character on the Jump Weekly website. Has anyone heard anything more about this? ^^; I love Shaman King, so I'm really excited to find out more about this one.

I haven't read it personally, but it was so unpopular in the Jump rankings that it was cancelled after only ten weeks of serialization (and ended this last issue actually.) Jump is extremely brutal to series that don't make the cut.

Poor Takei can't seem to get a break.

XD Wow, you're kidding me. The few Japanese sites I saw seemed pretty enthusiastic about it.

That's too bad, I managed to find the first chapter and I wanted to see where it was going to go.

He'll probably be back. Shaman King was successful for a large portion of its run even if it did get canned at 32 volumes.
And he's definitely not the only artist to ever have failed after a success and then come back(Watsuki comes to mind).

I highly doubt he'd quit - and if he did, I'd be sorely disappointed. SK began to drag after a while, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
