The problem with Ranma 1/2 is it's definitely 13+ and there's not a lot I can say to alter that. Happosai is the primary offender and he's too major a character in the manga (unfortunately) to disappear for long stretches from the anime, even though the anime sometimes radically diverged from the comics.
Of the box sets I've viewed (I didn't buy the Viz DVDs piecemeal), the seventh set seems to be the cleanest, but it's still PG.
However, the first Ranma movie I'd rate totally appropriate for just about everyone, except for a bit of blood (strange for the series). It's sold under the title "Big Trouble in Little Nekonron, China" and retails for about $25. Most people would find it acceptable for content.
I've actually seen every single episode, movie and domestically released OAV from the series (we all must have goals
), so I'll write a formal review soon.
