How many volumes?

How many volumes are released of both deathnote and Bleach. I would like to finish those series before I start into anymore.

Bleach is presently at 22 volumes (in japan), but new chapters are still being released. Looks like you're in it for the long haul.
Death Note is 12 volumes.

Those are the basics. Also, Viz is releasing Bleach on a bimonthly schedule, so it will take them several years simply to catch up with Japan. Also, the manga is likely to continue for quite some time yet.

in america, bleach is i think on volume 14. and death note's on volume...8. i think.

Really i though it was only up to volume six.

You're correct. DN is only up to volume 6.
