The only prob with this is, as I understand, the Japanese culture doesn't view it the same way we do. Americans who see nudity are more likely to automatically put a sexual connotation to it. In most cases, (of what I've seen of Inuyasha) it's only fanservice if you're looking at it that way (at least, as far as I can remember...O.o)...

hmm well Japan isnt a christian nation either. If they dont veiw modesty like we do that's no excuse for us

Well...as long as we're talking in terms of non-sexual nudity...what about all the classical/renaissance type art? It had tons of nudity. Of course, they weren't American either, buuuuut...no one's arguing about that; people see it as a classic work.

hmm i see what you meen. the nudity isnt there to be perverted is that it? As a christian im very carefull about what i watch, and i guess i care about others as well... heck its our job to protect each other!

Oh yes! And some people are definitely convicted not to watch it; they should always follow what God tells them, of course. I happen to feel comfortable with Inuyasha, myself, but everyone should definitely be careful and if God tells them they're getting a little too close to something, they should bail out!

I do agree with that. There are some elements that require a certain level of maturity to watch properly. And I'm glad we could come to a level of agreement.

I personally enjoy Inu-Yasha a great deal. Yes, there is nudity but I think you would be hard pressed to find any anime/manga without nudity or illusions to nudity. It's an entirely different culture. Would God read manga? I would sorta like to think he would. He's gotta have a sense of humor right? I could totally see him kicking back and enjoying a little comic misadventure.
I do agree that the nudity takes a certain level of maturity. You have to get passed the "oh look boobs" teenager stage. Boiled down its really just a comic element nothing more. When reading comics I don't feel the need to take it to a deeper level than that. I'm a girl, I have boobs, I really don't mind I guess, nothing new to me.

Inuyasha is cool. For the one who said that it made them feel weird, I can understand that. I was a bit uncomfortable watching it at first because of the demonic content in it, but I just had to realize it was just pretend and all. I only have one manga and only watch it because I like Sango . . . YAY SANGO, and of course Kirara! 
I mean, I wouldn't buy it because of the initial weirdness, but I buy the mangas with Sango in it because she is cool. Otherwise, IY is a good show with the characters and all but the demonic stuff is creepy.

The manga is different from the show. Oh by the way, does anyone watch it in japanese? cause I can't find it in english. (subtitles)

Almost all the InuYasha I have is in japanese w/ english subtitles. If you want to hear it in english, watch it on Cartoon Network or buy the DVDs.
On the Manga, from reading the 1st volume and flipping through others, it seems it follows the anime quite closely. The anime does seem to go past the currently available english mangas, but I don't see much variation.

I've heard from my kids that the anime is probably one of the closest to keeping with the manga than most.^^

I agree, with the manga I have and that I have seen the show, I think it is pretty much exactly the same!

The show is just full of those fun filler eps, hence why I stick to the manga. I too watch it all Japanese with the subs. Inu-yasha's Ranma-esque voice is too good to pass up.
