Here as we celebrate our national independence, I was thinking of things that have happened in the past few decades. I remembered the fateful day of the Columbine High School.

I had the great privilige of playing the piece "An American Elegy" with an old group of mine awhile back. The piece was written by Frank Ticheli in memory of the students who lost their lives, and he ended up writing the young school's alma mater.

Listen to the song. The band playing is fairly good, and the words " My Columbine....we all are Columbine" can be heard in the music.

Remember those who have fallen, both service men and women, but also our Christian marytrs.

God bless and good holiday.
